Just figured I throw it out there that the Heavy Rain Demo is available for download on the PSN. I'm downloading it right now but it won't be done before I go to bed, I'll have to play it tomorrow.
played it! loved it! Want more NOW! I have a confession, I really want to play as the female character and just shower all game long.

Thanks for the tip!

Worth playing more than once, just to see what happens when you make different choices.
the demo was pretty sweet. Sorta reminds me of the Blade Runner game for the pc.
Played the demo, and umm...R2 TO WALK?! WORST. CONTROLS. EVER. I kept walking into walls half the time...why isn't walking just the same as in 99.9% of every other game in known existence? Why do they have to change it? To be different? The game is already different without it, and the story long with the other controls and the voice acting in the demo alone convinced me that I want to play the whole game.
However....that walking control is going to get really annoying, I can tell already.
One of those...would have been perfect if they didn't screw up this aspect of it type of games, I figure. I just hope it doesn't get a lot of crap for the controls...the game itself seems very engrossing.
For the latest news on Games, Movies, and everything geeky!
I think they did that because the camera angle is always changing. If you only used the analog stick to move, then when the camera changes you'd start walking the wrong way. When you hold R2 to walk, the only time you touch the analog stick is to change directions so you don't inadvertently start walking in the other direction when the camera changes. Probably not the best solution, but it works well enough for me.

Oooh, well like I said it's no deal breaker for me, but it does bug me because instead of walking the wrong way, now you're walking into walls and at times, STILL walking the wrong way. I like how you don't stop walking in one direction if the camera angle changes, but they seriously need to find a better way to impliment the camera angle/walk issue in video games, because this aint the answer.
This game is a rental at best, the controls are sluggish and the game moves at a rather slow pace for me. I have bought MAG and White Knight Chronicles and sadly the PS3 exclusives can't match up to the 360's.
the controls seemed fine for me after a minute or so, as they reminded me of using the arrow keys on my keyboard.

I love me some 360, but there is nothing even remotely like this masterpiece on 360, sadly.
Got a chance to play it this morning and my pre-order has been justified
The movement controls are a little wonky at first but ya get used to them pretty quickly. The only problem I had was remembering when to press a button, hit it repeatedly or hold it down. Once I got through the demo everything was coming naturally and the learning curve is pretty low so I don't seeing it being an issue.
Overall I was quite happy with it and can't wait to play it in about a week. Reminds me of Indigo Prophecy which is my personal all-time sleeper hit. It's a shame we don't more games like these two, guess if you can't blow things up with 12 screaming douche's online developers don't wanna bother.
Justed played the demo, and I must say I'm impressed. I already had this preordered & this reassures me that I made a good decision.
The only thing that bugged me was how the different options to choose (like what to say) float around on screen & are hard to read. Would have been a better decision to leave them static, IMO.
Looking forward to Feb 23!

The demo was fun. Pretty much what I was expecting from the game. Pre-order still justified.
