Hello all,  i signed up with Goozex awhile back but never did anything with it. within the past few months i have renewed my interest and have been trading games left and right and loving it. Here is my issue though, i had a few games requested and mailed out but never received them after the time-out. I left negative feedback and have a dispute open with the seller (both parties very polite) but i just realized that when i updated my address to my new home i must have forgotten to acknowledge the change because it still had my old address listed!  so these games have most likely arrived at my old place. I left a polite note in my old mailbox for the tenant (it is a controlled access apartment building) two days ago and have not heard anything from them. Now i know this is completely my fault for not double checking the address change. I just have this rotten feeling that this guy is dancing for joy around my games that arrived in his mailbox while i sit here worrying.  should i escalate this to Goozex and risk a "nope, better luck next time your out of points dummy" response  or should i continue trying to make contact with the resident of my old place?

There is no reason to escalate it to Goozex.  You made the mistake and there is nothing that they will do about it other than give the sellers the points for the games.  It is up to you to try contacting the person at your old address and hope that either they have the games for you or they returned them to sender.  If they get returned to Goozex then Goozex will contact you and will get your games to you.  If they are returned back to the sender you can either ask them to resend them or for them to cancel the trade so you can get your points back.

I agree with the post I have quoted. I am sorry to hear about this situation but it is clearly your fault. Goozex and the guys sending you the games cannot update your address for you. Its an honest mistake that anyone can make but in my opinion you are S.O. of L.

Thanks for the responses, I updated the sellers with all the info and marked everything positive. If all goes well then I will be able to get ahold of the new tenant in my old building and get my packages. If not i guess i learn a lesson and suck it up.
