You guys defend this site like it can do no wrong.  God forbid someone be a little pissed about being charged a token for something he thought was free.

Maybe he doesn't leave a movie in his active list if he thinks the deal is over?

I still think there are better responses than every single "regular" coming in to call him a big baby and saying that his thread should get zero stars because he's just a retard.  Why even bother to post if you're just going to troll?

If the pacifier fits, suck on it.

He/She has complained in multiple threads about this and already received a response from Goozex. Yet he/she continues to moan - thus our mocking of him/her.

Well I just hope you guys won't mind when other businesses perform somewhat unethical practices like this. I am sure there was a user on here that lost a lot more tokens than I did. I have well over 100 left so I could care less. But, why they couldn't post a simple message anywhere saying "Sorry folks we intended for the promo to be over on the 31st. Enjoy your movies" or something like that is beyond me. I am glad at least a few people agreed. Thanks for the apology Goozex but please make it more apparent next time.

Wow gotta love how some people complain.

Here's my gripe why can't people figure out how to change their avatars....to something other then the default

When a company like Best Buy makes a pricing error or any error for that matter that might have costed customers their money, what do they do?

They make a public apology and deny all claims. Is that a bait and switch? No. They apologized for the mistake, and legally they are not bound to give you your money back.

It was a promotion, and what strikes me as amazing about this, is that it was a promotion that was around for quite some time. However, someone still sees fit to complain and call "bait and switch" when the promo ends and a banner mistakenly gets put up. I admit it doesn't look good, but is there anything in the company's history to suggest this was intentional? Is there anything to suggest that this is going to become commonplace? Is there anything to suggest that any of the outrageous claims being made are in any way valid? Well...not really.

They wonder why people are so quick to "defend" Goozex and "act like Goozex can do no wrong", well have they done much wrong in the past? Have they ever shown themselves to be a business that profits on petty tactics like the bait and switch? Like I said before, is there anything to suggest that any of these claims are valid?

It's one thing when a company advertises an HDTV for $9.99 by accident, closes the loophole, and charges their customers the full retail price for the item they were told would be a mere $9.99.

It's quite another thing when a company advertises a promotion for free $1 trades on a goods exchange website, mistakenly makes a banner advertising it until the end of February 28th, and then takes it down after realizing the blunder, and doesn't refund any points anyone spent money on. It's a difference between $1 and thousands of dollars, and I think you're literally and figuratively making a mountain out of a molehill, because you're comparing the molehill TO THE MOUNTAIN!

Lets say eBay has a promotion where for 2 days it's free to insert any item on the site, and then realizes they made a mistake and meant one day. If they wait until the end of the first day to apologize for the mistake and own up to it, but people don't find out about it until they wake up the next day and start putting items on eBay realizing only later that it's costing them money, is that eBay's fault? Is a company like eBay going to refund their customers? Are any major news organizations going to run a story on the NEGLEGENCE of eBay? No.

Then why would anyone expect such harsh reprimand for Goozex?

If you're saying you wouldn't spend a trade token on a DVD/Blu-ray unless the trade tokens were free, then you're basically saying that the people who keep this site running and protect their customers from fraud (honestly far better than I've ever seen even the biggest corporation handle things, perhaps because it is such a smaller scale, perhaps because big faceless corporations are heartless uncaring bastards) don't deserve $1 per trade. Really? $1? I can barely pay my way through school and I can afford that. That's less than a bus ticket, that's the price of the soda I get before class...that's NOTHING in "2010", inflation made sure of that. If the question is would I rather get a DVD or Video Game for $1 than a soda, the answer is "hell yes".

You are literally getting your dollar's worth, so complaining that they made a mistake and the promotion ended earlier than you thought isn't going to get you anywhere with anyone. It has nothing to do with anyone being a "fanboy", it's simply the fact that you'd have to be INSANE to complain over something that costs you ONE FLIPPIN' DOLLAR!

For the latest news on Games, Movies, and everything geeky!

Well put Stoudman!  Now perhaps they will stop whining and get over it!  However I have a feeling the whining isn't over.
