While Al Gore is an unfortunate side effect, I'm all for global warming.  Especially in this season.

Where are my 70 degree winters?

Come to Hawaii. :)

I hate poly mailers. I've sent out a bunch of games over the interweb and personally have only purchased about 5 bubbles mailers in my lifetime as a Goozer. I just recycle the mailers that are sent to me but when I see a poly mailer, I die a little inside since the cheap ass in me can't reuse it.

Well, I've reused maybe one poly mailer and what I like about it is that it's slightly lighter than a kraft mailer. Can be the difference between 6 and 7 ounces. Devil

I like poly mailers better.  They are lighter and stronger.  I just ordered another 250 of them the other day.  I use the #0 ones since they fit games better than the #1.

Death to poly mailers.

Here here. I haven't had to buy mailers in a long time through reusing.

Never buy mailers. Reuse, reuse, reuse.

If you run low on mailers, you can easily convert a brown paper bag into a makeshift mailer that will work perfectly on short-distance trades. It takes a fair amount of packing tape, but it is totally sturdy and if you do it right, it pads just as well. (Use the excess paper as extra padding on the inside.) Don't use them for trades that go over the border, though, since they tend to be super rough on packages to/from Canada in my experience.

I use Kraft Mailers and I prefer to use #1s.  It takes quite a bit of force to get the game into the #0s sometimes and a shoehorn practically to get them out, oftentimes destroying the mailer beyond future use.  Plus, #1s good for those collector editions, etc.

I can't recall if poly #0s are more forgiving or not.

Though I sort of agree with this, practice tells me otherwise. I have been sending a lot more than receiving lately. Whenever I do receive games the packages are usually taped to hell and the bubbles are all popped = no protection. Recently a game case exploded in the mail and I definitely don't want that happening to games I send out. I figure more people can reuse mine since they don't have much tape (I use sticker labels) and they are new. Have to put some new ones back into the system sometimes. I do keep the reusable mailers handy though, as well as amazon boxes for multiple game shipments / bigger games. I'm even tempted to get 100 #1 and 100 #0 so I can throw an extra #0 mailer in there for the buyer to use. I'm just generous like that :)

Agree. Only buy mailers when you can't reuse one. Good for the environment good for your pocket.

I ended up buying most of my kraft mailers from Amazon http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000GHW0LO/ref=oss_product <-- (got that incase I need to send something that's bigger or multi order from same buyer cost me just under $22)

Seems there's quite a bit of hate for poly mailers, though I'm not really seeing why.  A simple cut across the top makes them reusable if you're interested in going that route.

I'd forgotten about this thread but I'm in a similar predicament as the OP....looking to buy another bulk of mailers, and while looking for my 100 #0 Kraft I bought last year for $20, noticed that I could get 200 #0 Poly mailers for about $12.  That's too good of a deal to just shrug off.

Any additional thoughts on poly?  Short of the extra minute it might take to carefully open the package, they seem cheaper, stronger, and just as suitable for trading.

Despite apparently having a conversation with myself at this point on this thread, I'm going to ask anyways.

Was about to pull the trigger on said poly mailers when I looked a bit closer at the pic.  They looked a bit thin.  Do these mailers have any sort of padding generally with them?  I received some ink cartridges in the mail yesterday in a poly mailer that didnt, though I have a set of poly mailers in my cubicle here that do have a thin layer of bubbles as well.

Without some sort of padding, I'll likely migrate back to Kraft mailers.
