Uncharted 1. I just wanted to go through it at least once before jumping into Uncharted 2. Enemies wearing nothing but tank tops would eat something like 20 bullets before going down. They could see through walls and had perfect aim no matter how far away they were. It's hard to aim too, and sometimes I'm 100% sure I have a shot lined up for the guys head but somehow it misses and then they start dancing left and right making it even harder. Switching to easy didn't seem to make much of a difference either. Thankfully, Uncharted 2 more than made up for it.

Woo it is that bad? I was thinking about playing this one in the near future

Uncharted 1 is decent, though no-where near as good as 2.  If you are good at getting headshots in 3rd person shooters using a gamepad you won't be nearly as frustrated as cheesecake000 was... and if you don't spray-n-pray you can even shoot for the chest and drop in 3-5 rounds(less with high-calibre)..  If Uncharted 1 has any real flaws it's that the combat is repetitive.  Uncharted 2 is way more interesting, but they both have great stories and production values.

I have to say Demon Souls was the last.  The game does have cheap deaths.  When the targeting system switches and you roll off one of the many narrow cliffs edges, or you just get one shot by something.  The last time I played I lost over 85k in souls and that's a few points where I'm at now, so I had to take a break.

So your saying its cheap when you roll off a cliff and die or when you're too weak to battle another enemy. Im more taking about glitches and flaws. DS is given a lot of credit for how responsive its controls are. That being said i understand why ppl would get frustrated with it, but in the end when you die its because of something you did or did not do.

Agree with Criminole and acs.  Rolling off a ledge isn't cheap.  What would be cheap is if you hit an invisible wall and couldn't roll off.  If you're not paying attention and dodge to the side when you're on a narrow walk way (3-2), you deserve to die.  Being one shot by something isn't cheap either.  People's complaints about Demon's Souls usually come across as complaining that it's too realistic, which is great for a game like it is.

Also, losing 85k souls is nothing.  When I finally platted an finished the game, 85k souls couldn't even refill my supplies (herbs, spices, and arrows).  I was paying about a million souls per level.  Even if I lost a million souls, and couldn't get them back, it's not like it takes long to reacquire them by farming.

Anyways, the game can be frustrating, to be sure.  To reiterate what was said, though, even through the deaths, it doesn't leave you thinking you did everything right, and you were just flat out robbed to prolong the game experience.  It's obvious you did something wrong, and you go back in with more caution, and do it right the next time.

Spiderman 3 and MLB 2k9 on 360. I didn't hate spiderman at first as I was able to have some fun with it, but as the game went on it was more irritating and some of the achievements are just torture. Just try getting the gold and silver in races....oh yes it's possible if you feel like spending tons of hours practicing it and hoping for the best. 2k9 is just a broken sucky game that makes just playing it a chore, let alone going for the achievements. GTA IV with the pigeons/jumps and being forced to play a broken online system to go for wanted and auf wiedersehen petrovic achievements.  Doing stupid things like dodging lightning in FF X for ultimate weapons.  MLB front office manager which I thought might be a good game and ended up being a cruel form of torture overseas. Dead rising and the stupidity of the AI of survivors when running through a mall filled with zombies. Not to mention who thought it was a good idea to make an achievement that requires you to leave your xbox on for 14 hours straight roughly when they have overheating problems to begin with?

Ugh, many more I can't think of right now.

Just recently I got pretty mad when I was playing The Chronicles of Riddick: Escape From Butcher Bay (through the Assault on Dark Athena disc on the 360). Towards some of the last levels I had an awesome turret gun that made you walk really slow. At one point I died so many times I just dropped the turret and ran for it instead. Throughout the rest of the levels I was frustrated as hell since there were so many enemies that didn't want to die. I went to look at a walkthrough at one point in this and saw that I needed that turret, which I couldn't f***ing get again. I decided to keep going and try to simply run and gun the rest of the way, but got to one point where you couldn't advance unless you killed everything, and it was impossible to kill everything with your normal weapons.

I was not only so pissed that I had to try it so many times, but once I got to the end there was no way to advance. I had to go back and play through those parts I had played, carrying the turret with me the whole time. I sure as hell don't feel like playing Assault on Dark Athena now.

I like mirrors edge.  It's challenging.

There are quite a few games that have made me feel like I needed anger management courses. =)

Far Cry 2. I think I played it for a total of an hour. The  guard re-spawns are ridiculous. I got this game sometime last year and haven't touched it since. I figure maybe someday I will try it again. Then again it's collecting massive amounts of dust.

I guess I have different views than some people, but I have been gaming for over 20 years and know what I like.

I actually liked Prince of Persia, Mirror's Edge, and Darksiders quite a bit, it appears most did not.

On to games that pissed me off:

Halo 3 - I forced myself to play this, since most of my friends were. Coming from a PC background on FPS titles, this game made me feel that FPS was never intended for consoles, and never would be. Aiming assist , sluggish controls, and the fact that someone could tap you with their elbow and slay you instantly after eating 5 clips of ammo sucked the last ounce of fun out of it.  Luckily the CoD series (CoD4, WaW, MW2)  opened the door for console FPS for me. I do well with those and enjoy them greatly.

Gears of War - First game I bought with my 360, because of everyone telling me how great it was.  Washed out , colorless graphics (great way to introduce someone to the 'next generation' of gaming), lame dialog, and every weapon I picked up seemed to fire off the same degree of uninspired blandness.  I forced myself to play because it was the only game I had.

Fallout 3 -  I ran out and dropped $60 on this because everyone was praising it.  I forced myself to play it for several days, hoping it would get better, but it never did.  I ended up trading it away before the price fell.  The game just felt very unpolished, and Bethesda really needs to hire new artists for character models.  I do plan on giving this another go at some point, I suppose... but I don't know if I could after getting my hands on a masterpiece like Mass Effect 2.

I could go on, but those three stand out to me, since they are regarded as AAA titles.

i think with prince of persia you just can't skip the optional conversations between you and elika...it adds a lot of content that isn't there if you just run straight through the game...

oh yeah, uncharted 1 gave me freakin' headaches from motionsickness (uncharted 2 did not and rocked my world). I actually threw up after a gaming session where I was about 2/3s of the way through the game and at that point I decided it was not worth it.

Playing Mirror's Edge (PS3) at the moment. It pisses me off frequently, but I cannot give it up for some reason.

Mirror's Edge was a great game.  There were some frustrating moments, for sure (like when you have to jump on the crane and then jump/fall into the big hole in the ground that goes to the tunnel - it's hard to explain - I died there A LOT!).

I usually stop playing games that piss me off.  However, currently, I am forcing myself to go through MW2 and Dead Space:Extraction.  I loved the original Dead Space, and I love a good light gun game, but there's something about the pacing of this game that really bothers me.  There's far too much dialogue and story for a light gun game.
