I had fun last night.

Had some connection problems, but it was probably my fault. Only had the PS3 for 2 weeks, and haven't messed with any NAT settings or port forwarding.

Don't know if I'll make the next two, but I'll try for Warhawk.

I never thought I'd play 2 hours of user created levels, but we did, and there are some good ones out there.  We did run into one severely bugged level that we had to quit out of, though.  Thanks to MHatter for organizing.

After this week's testing, I will be tweaking my Little Big Lebowski level to make it easier (less bowling balls), so that people can get past that part.  When I made it, I didn't have a lot of friends in the beta to play test it, and I didn't think it was that hard.  I'll post up in Kwaz's LBP thread when I get it done.

Looking forward to Uncharted 2.  Haven't played that in a while either.  Good to have these nights to make me pop in the old games to remind me how good they really are.  Hopefully I'll be able to get on sooner that night, too.

I was unaware of these events going on. I have Warhawk and Bomberman Ultra. I'll have to get in on these.

I had a lot of fun last night, at least for the part where we weren't organizing. I'll definitely do this again. Put me as a probably for Bomberman, I think I'll have more time to stick around next week.

I saw lilwash's post in the photoshop contest and it sounds like we get tokens for participating in mp nights. Is that true and how many do we receive? ^__^

Yeah they were credited to your account sometime this morning.   It takes a few days after the event before they're added to your account as I have to send the roster to blackcoyote who then manually adds the tokens.  Plus with 125+ entries he has to sort out for the photoshop contest, there's a delay.

For those who don't have Bomberman Ultra, but are curious about the game, there's a demo available on the PS Store.   I just tried it out.  I knew literally nothing about the game beforehand, but the demo was really really fun, and I can only imagine even more fun with a full group online.

I still have to see if I can make it on Wed, but provided that I can, I may get this game form the PS Store.

Just a note: read "How to Play" really quick before you try tour first game in the demo or after you try one or two games in the demo; I was lost otherwise.

Tokens:  Tokens should now be credited to your account for those eligible LBP participants.

Neko Tech's Mystery Prize:  Another week has passed, another 15 numbers guessed and taken off the board, all incorrect.  The pool of possible numbers the winning number could be decreases even further, known only to Neko Tech's roommate, who apparently is very entertained that nobody has yet guessed correctly!   Keep participating for more chances to win!

The OP has been updated to include the new incorrect guesses.

Just remembered to put my Request in for Warhawk for 300 points.  Would have been a little difficult to try and host in 2 weeks without a copy....

Hopefully we get a good turnout since large scale CTF matches are alot of fun.  Shouldn't take me long once I start play testing to realize exactly how bad I was at the game.

I just requested this too.  Been interested in Warhawk, but never pulled the trigger.  Looking forward to it.   Is there a need to level up to get better weapons, or is everyone fairly even from the start?

If memory serves, the only thing that ranks unlock in Warhawk were skins for your character.  Besides skill and map memorization there's no advantage between a new player and a veteran. 

There were 3 important things I learned from the couple of months I played it: 

1. A coordinated teams pwns (maybe even moreso than most FPS/TPS games.
2. Flying takes some getting used to and dogfights are intense once you get the hang of it.
3. Understanding where new weapons and vehicles are located on maps is a big advantage.  You start with only basic weapons and pick up new ones at bases scatted across the maps.  There's also several weapons for your Warhawk scatted around the environment along with emplaced weapons.

The existing community is quite skilled, which can make it challenging for newcomers.  However 16 v 16 on larger maps was very fun and a unique experience - well worth trying it out.  I know i'll be keeping my copy this time around...
