Wow 17 people were eligible for the prize! (From the list I've got)

This turn out must have been a huge turn out. I was trying to rent a copy for the last two days but no one in town had them in. Regardless, even if I had my work held me longer then I expected [:'(].

A good chance that someone might win my prize!!!

Until I get everyone's PM that I've sent or 2 days have past then we wouldn't know if it it has won or not. I guess my roommate will be surprised at how many numbers this week was guessed. As noted before, I did not choose the number so even I am quite excited on seeing if someone has won.

Apologies to anyone whose team I was on, since i was probably sitting idle in a corner for minutes at a time.   Hosting became a bit of a shuffle, trying to accept/send invites, track who was signing on and manage the chat room.

All things considered, it went smoother than I thought it may and we hung right around 16 or 17 people in the group for most of the night.  For what I did play, we had some pretty intense battles...and a few crushing defeats.  Good times.  We're totally doing 18 person free-for-all on Rust again the next time MW2 comes up for MP night.

Thanks again to everyone that came out and played !!

As the prize sponsor, I'm happy to hear that it went pretty well considering the big influx of new people joining. I know it's hard to juggle your responsibility as well as tracking the people who is eligible for my prize.

This looks like a great beginning for the casual Goozex gaming night! The momentum is getting stronger and who knows, we might actually have to have a separate PS3 night for the weekend for those who can't make it during the regular week!

Look what you have done Mhatter106! This is madness!! I can't help but feel I'm apart of something great is about to began!

To the past MP gaming hosts, even though we had some small turn out in the past, I had fun and I couldn't wait for Wed night!

Thanks again to Mecha for coordinating the largest turnout yet for PS3 nights!  On to MAG next week, please see the first post for more details.

The weekly organizers thus far have done a great job, and I thought I would write a guide post outlining what exactly the responsibilities the weekly organizer has. I'll put a link to this post on the OP for easy reference.  This is a culmination of different things I and others have seen work over the first several weeks.

Guide to being the weekly Organizer:

The week before the PS3 night

• Follow the thread (obviously), respond to any questions.
• Post some night-specific details or instructions and let mhatter106 know that's what you want copy and pasted to the Specific Notes section of the OP.
• Send or accept friend invitations on PSN to the people who have indicated they may play
• The Monday before the event, send a form letter invitation PM  to three groups of people:

1. Everyone on Goozex who has that week's game in their "Now Playing" list using the "Invite to Play" feature. 
2. People in this thread who have listed they have the game but haven't responded
3. People who participated the last time the game was played. 

A sample form invitation is included at the bottom of this post which you can copy and paste.

The Wednesday of the PS3 night

• The morning of, send form reminder PMs to all the people who have responded yes or maybe. A sample form reminder is included at the bottom of this post which you can copy and paste.  If you're not a morning person, do it Tuesday night.
• Get on PSN earlier than the scheduled start time, also make sure you have the latest updates/pacthes ahead of time.  You don't want to be late for your own party.   15 minutes before the scheduled start time, invite everyone into the text chat room, even if they're not yet online.  They'll see the invitation when they do sign on.
• Help people having a tough titme connecting to the game or whatever.

After the PS3 night

• PM mhatter106 and Neko Tech with a list of the people who attended and participated that night, and indicate which ones played for at least an hour.  (Actually, it's probably easier to just indicate which ones didn't.)

That's it.  I know it seems like some work and that the form invitations on Monday to Playing Now people and the form reminders on Wednesday morning seems annoying to do, but the Monday invites are helpful for promoting turnout and the morning reminders are good because in past weeks we've found a lot of people forget otherwise.

So it can be a little bit of work, but it's all part of pitching in to help make these nights happen. Plus you get an extra free token.

Sorry if I sound like I'm coming off like gestapo.. but yeah I gues kind of I am.

Hello, noticed you are listed as "Now Playing" [insert game] on PS3.

Just wanted to let you know that some Goozex members will be playing [game] this Wednesday night [date] at [time] EST, as [game] is the game of the week for our weekly game nights. If you are interested in joining, let us know by posting on the thread!

Thanks to all who set this up.  Had a good time, and I'm looking forward to the next two MP nights for games I have (LBP and Uncharted 2).

For any of you who added me as a friend last night, I usually play hardcore mode, so don't be offended if I don't join up with you in regular matches.
