cheeznrice:

Get Sirius radio...they run about a 3 hour cycle of songs Huh?

What's better - Sirius or XM?

cheeznrice:
Radio in Canada is disappointing.  I do appreciate the fact that they have to meet Canadian content criteria, but how about playing current Canadian songs...not stuff that The Hip released in the 90's.  Tons of great Canadian music goes unheard...by Canadians.
I couldn't agree more

However, I'm not sure how you can put Muse in the same class as them!

Please don't let one (overplayed?) song steer you away!  It's weird though, here in Canada (or at least where I'm from in Ontario), it's played maybe 5x a MONTH!  I wish it was played 5x a day though!

Uprising is more of a radio/pop song... when they play it live they change the ending of the song and it makes the song 10x better.  I guess that ending wasn't fit for the radio/a single so they didn't include it in the album/radio edit.

Try listening to some of the songs I listed earlier (other than Uprising)!  Although it's still a good song imo, Uprising is definintely not a good representation of the rest of their music.

I'm open, I understand how a "radio hit" can skew a band.  Like everyone thought RadioHead was gonna be grunge.

They merged last year, sadly Sirius was better than XM for talk, tie for music, since the merge, they  now have less music (although that is due to the increase in fees record labels charge now, EVERYONE has less music in 2010 than in 2008)

Sirius and XM are now one. It still a bit confusing and silly. You still have to pick one or the other or buy the best of in order to a get a bit of both. It's so stupid. It should be one rate for all content for a year at a reasonable rate. They should follow more of payment system like XBOX Live A fair rate for a year and it slightly more expensive if you only go in at a time or 6 months a time. However, I like having my Opie & Anthony (XM) and my Howard Stern (Sirius) so i sadly have Sirius with the best of XM and its pricey.

I'm way into the Bubba show now, I lost track of O and A when they left Boston.   I really miss Adam Carolla on Lovelines, his morning show was terrible tho.

While it's only 1 hour a week, the Greg Fitzsimmons show on H101 is hilarious every time, I wish they would give him a real full show, having the same time allotment as Riley Martin and the SuperdoucheNerd Fantable show is insulting to a true comic like FItzdog

I totally agree with you.  Full package means the box has to be included, not just a jewel case.  I also think that if a person receives a few neutrals on shipping PC games without their box, that the option to send as a full package should be taken away from them..  The only problem I've ever had with PC game boxes and full package option is, does this have to include the large cardboard holder that sometimes is inside the older PC boxes.   Most people never keep those.

I agree with Hexpane.  We have the next three years free...and it's still not worth the price.  I really enjoyed it when it was Sirius.  I do not like the XM DJs/programming they brought in.

Live 105 here in SF which used to be an indie/alternative type music station was blasting Paradise City by GNR this morning.. .I'm like huh?  Since when did this become classic glam rock station?

It's the fees.  The parent company can just play the same song lists on different stations and cut down on their fees.  Their morning ratings suck anyway so why pay 2X for the classic station for GNR and the "hip" station to play Muse or whatever, just play GNR on both stations,.... such is the sad state of terrestrial radio these days.

it's nothing but a small ipod mix,  like a 1gb ipod

On a more relevant note, I got a PM from a new user about to send me a game:

Just wanna make sure you're getting what you want before accepting the trade.... I no longer have the huge box for the game, and even if I had it I wouldn't sent this for just 100 pts.... it would be way too expensive to ship. So it's only the jewel case with manual, game disc and bonus disc. Let me know if you don't want it, otherwise I'll accept the trade tonight around 10PM EST
This is the exact sort of attitude I want to be discouraged.

Gotta love that part of the PM.  After admitting to not having the full package they state they will assume that if you dont reply it is okay to not send the full package.

Ugh. Nothing like ADMITTING that you are trying to cheat the system and actually expecting to get away with it.

On a side note, I just got matched up with someone for a FP for Star Wars Dark Forces. Anyone want to actually bet that I receive the FP? I put the odds at about 10,000:1 that I would get the original packaging and not the dime a dozen budget release that's been selling for the last 15 years...

That again is a more sticky situation as for 15 years it *has* been full package ...
