Congrats to everyone on this list. Anyone care to chime in on how you play/watch all those games/movies.

I'll give you a hint: the top buyer requests multiple copies of the same game.

Which usually means they are a store.

Yeah, the top buyer is not the only reseller on that list either... I really think that anytime an item is requested 3 times by the same buyer, the value should automatically go up. Might just be me though... I just irks me that people use this site to make money. I don't mind sending out low point games to real people, but it annoys the crap out of me to send them to someone who is going to flip them. Which, for the record, giving them free unlimited (other than by time) trades (just talking about the resellers here, not all, or even most, of that list are) takes away the only good thing about them. If they have to pay per trade, at least the site is making money of off them too. This way you are just increasing their profit margins and screwing yourselves. Whatever, I guess I just take it too personal.

I don't see what the problem is about them requesting multiple copies of the same game.   What they do with their game once they trade points for it is completely up to them.  They don't have to play it.  The can sell it, give it to someone, use it as a coaster, whatever they want.  If they want to use it to make a profit, let them. They're not robbing Goozex or anything.  Also, nobody put a gun to any of the offerers heads forcing them to list it on Goozex.  They coudl have sold it on ebay instead too if they didn't like the point price.

All it is is the reverse of buying a game just to trade away on Goozex to get more points than you would have if you had bought points directly.    Also some people, if they find they're in a long wait for a game on goozex that they want now, will just request games they CAN get now and sell those off and use the money to buy that game that would have taken a couple months for them to get on Goozex.

I wonder how close I was to making both lists. I had a pretty strong push towards the end of the year as far as out going games goes. Put lots of big ticket stuff up. I think a list based on points spent and points earned would be cool to see. Doesn't need to be prizes or anything it would just be fun to see who spent the most and who earned the most.

As MY appreciation, I think I'll start a contest during the valentine's blitz.  Something big.  I think I'll start a thread asking for ideas.

Exactly - I'm not a reseller, but I engage in the practice to defray the costs of my new game purchasing.    Eventually a copy of Arkham Assylum, Borderlands, or Dragon Age make their way into the system instead of 5 copies of Assassin's Creed that no one wants.    Works out for everyone.    And it does take some effort to receive, test, sell, and ship off the games so I'm earning the "profit" I'm taking from the system.   I'd do far better working an actual job if "profiting" were my entire motive here.

I'll do the same with Mass Effect 2 since I didn't stay up late at night.    I'll drop the cash for it to skip the line, but I'd rather it not be my cash with all the points I have in my account here.

Why the heck is it a bad thing that people use this site to make money???? 

The more people that are involved on this site the better, I don't care what the reason is.  The more people, the more notarity, the more volume, the more buying and selling.  It's a good thing.

I agree with you that giving them free trades doesn't help Goozex and the Goozex community per se, but it doesn't really hurt either, it's only a month.

I didn't even realize it at the time, but my very first trade after joining Goozex (just a couple of months ago) was to zachsnini, the top buyer and one of the top traders for 2009. 

I feel honored!  Maybe it's an omen...
