Before Christmas, on the 21st , I ordered lotr conquest. The system matched me, and I recieved confirmation that i was paired in the same day. For some reason, I didnt get any shipping confirmation until the 27th, and then 7 days later the game still hasnt arrived. Since I only had 1 day left for confirmation, I gave negative and promised to give the points back if the game should arrive within a week. Fearing i had wasted points, and in an effort to discover the heart of the problem, i checked my address settings. They had been completely changed. The city was wrong, and the zip was wrong. They were so wrong that the zip was rediculous, and while the city may be close by, it was definitlely not where I lived. the only thing right was the address. I have proof that the settings were right only a few days before, where I sold fallout 3. I have come to three conclusions. A) Since we were gone for a week for Christmas, starting on the 25th, someone must have broken into our house, didnt steal anything, and changed my address. VERY likely. B) someone on goozex (probably the person selling it) hacked my account through goozex and changed the address, hoping to keep the points without having to give the game away, which he probably never sent.  Or C) someone on goozex hacked my account for fun, probably just to dick around and jack up the system. Either way , goozex is not safe and i will refuse to use it anymore. Would someone care to enlighten me to the problem, or share similar stories?

In addition to the elaborate paranoid conspiracies you've presented, wouldn't it also be possible that it was a database error?  Have you contacted the seller or Goozex to explain the situation?  I've never heard of this happening before, but I imagine it can be worked out.

It could also be:

D) The address was listed incorrectly when you set up your account

The only trade from your account was Fallout 3 which you sent to another trader.  The return address on that trade may have either been the Goozex default address in Maryland or the incorrect address - neither would have been an issue on that trade if the game got where it was supposed to go.

I would update you address in the system and notify the other trader so they can work something out with you to have the game resent - or maybe mutually cancel the trade out.

Based on what you've advised so far, I don't know if i'd jump to conclusions and assume the system is unsafe.  If it were a case where you've received a few games at your address, never had anyone else use the computer you log into Goozex with and then you notice the address listed was suddenly changed, then I would be a bit suspicious.

The address was correct not long before the trade, I saved a pdf of the fallout trade and the address details of the receipt and shipping label, which were both correct. Unfortunately i am new to goozex, and am unsure where to contact them at for something like this. I wouldnt list it as a dispute, but I never let anyone else on my private computer, so nobody in the family changed it. Instead i sent negative confirm and told the buyer that if the game arrived in a week or so because of christmas shipping delays i would send him the points. The system may not be flawed but i dont want anything like this to happen again.

That's your most likely scenario? Someone broke into your house just to change your address on Goozex? Just to get themselves some random game that may or may not actually come? This is the least likely reason (of the ones you suggested).

testrun78:

You have no evidence or reason to suspect that that particular user "hacked" your account. Additionally, he would have to have sent it, or you'd have left a negative for game not received. And then he wouldn't have Delivery Confirmation to prove that he sent it, and he'd lose the points.

Additionally, he could avoid that by locking you out of the account and using it for himself to confirm receipt of the game (then he wouldn't have had to send it).

Also unlikely, but sure, hundreds and hundreds (maybe thousands? I don't know..) of users have no issues with hackers, but you do. That suggests to me that it's not just a goozex problem, but you actually have a crack team of hackers that are following you around on the internet, hacking all your accounts to spy on you and change little things that you won't notice right away.
