KickahaOta: ferrari: Did my post get deleted? I don't believe so. You're running into the same problem I did: in some question threads (as opposed to discussion threads), the normal navigation links get broken. The only way you can see anything beyond the first page of replies is to use the "latest post" link in the threads list, rather than clicking on the main link for the thread or on the "1, 2, 3..." page links. PMing this as well, since otherwise you probably won't see it. :)

I can see your post now... that was weird...
The thread is definitely broken though... there's no page numbers
Check out my musical endeavors!

I know this wasn't possible in your case, but an excellent suggestion for any 360 game is as soon as you get it, instead of playing the game, install it to the hdd. If the game can fully install, it means nothing is corrupted and can allow verification without having to spend countless hours playing the game.
I hate to play devil's advocate here (not really, I love it), but telling users to test a game's integrity by installing it or running it through a special program sounds like an incredibly flawed way of shirking responsibility.
Installing: Assuming this is a game that can be installed, as games for the Wii, DS, PSP, Playstation, PS2, Gamecube, Xbox, GBA and some PS3 games can't, you're also assuming the buyer has the means to. Believe it or not there are still people who own 360s who don't have a hard drive, so this method of testing would be completely useless. Not to mention it'd still be useless on any games that can't actually be installed in the first place.
Software Checking: Again, for one thing this assumes the buyer actually has the means to do this. Maybe they aren't allowed to install things on their computer (i.e. a young kid with cautious parents). Maybe they don't know enough about computers to find and run a program like this easily. No matter the reason, not everyone will be able to use this method. Secondly, even if they could use this method, "forcing" them to do this or risk "being screwed" is... well, it's not good.
Of course the buyer should always take the time to check a game out before leaving feedback. And yes, if they can install it then by all means they should. But if they can't, they deserve a better response than "Oh, sorry. Looks like you're SOL."
ProTip: Check out www.crushfragdestroy.com for game-related news, reviews and more.
Just a quick note, if they're a young kid with cautious parents who can't install or use a program to verify the disc, then they aren't 18 and can't get games from here anyways.
Are they the perfect solutions? By no means. However, they are about the quickest, most reliable, and for most people, the most readily available.
Since we're talking about a bootleg in this instance, I think goozex should step up to the plate on this one and resolve it. However, for the most part, the buyer knows it's their responsibility to ensure the game is good. In addition, they know the time frame they have to accomplish this. There are tools in place to extend trade time limits, if you need it.
Perhaps 'You're SOL' isn't the best response, but being that all the information is readily available, and people should know it before they do any trades, it is an accurate one.
If Goozex EVER gets back to me on this, I will tell you how it turns out. I have emailed twice on the counterfeit issue and still have no responses. Go Goozex customer service! The best in the business.
Still nothing.......
I hope they resolve it soon. Bootlegs should be a huge issue.
STILL NOTHING!!
Unbelievable, I am going to give them until the weekend and if I get nothing I am just going to spend the rest of points and leave the site for good. This is beyond absurd at this point.
Goozex not replying in a timely manner? I haven't ever seen that griped about on here before.
Get with the game, Goozex. Square this guy away.
Hey, hey! What do you know? Got a response just a few minutes ago. Only took a combined 17 days to get two questions answered.
They told me to send it to their address and they would take a look at it. Though I am basically expecting them to look at it and send it back 2 months later with a "Yep, it's fake, but we can't refund you" message.
When trading on Goozex, both users share responsibilities. It is the seller's responsibility to properly test the item, accurately offer the item, and then safely ship the item in the condition requested, within the committed time frame. It is the buyer's responsibility to maintain an accurate shipping address, be able to receive the item shipped, and properly test the item prior to reporting the most accurate feedback. Every buyer has the opportunity to report pirated game feedback, in the unfortunate and rare event that they suspect piracy. Once pirated feedback is reported, we assume it would be disputed/escalated and Goozex would request the item for inspection within the resolution center. Positive feedback does not just confirm the receipt of the item, but it also specifically refers to the fact that the item plays perfectly. If the buyer confirms the item received plays perfectly, then we are unable to provide them with a refund. Special circumstances do arise, where we are willing to extend extra assistance to assist toward a resolution. We understand that our commitment to respond within 2-3 business days failed. Unfortunately the customer service department is not open on the weekends and national holidays. We do, however, make the exception to work extra hard during these high volume times surrounding holidays to provide refunds consistently in a timely manner. In the event that Goozex is unable to resolve the situation as per the user's requests, then we recommend that user continues to work with the other trader toward a resolution. In a situation such as this, the only way for the buyer to receive a full refund is for the seller to write Goozex authorizing the debit of points from their account to credit the buyer's account. You can expect to receive email correspondence from Goozex shortly, outlining our recommendations and the exception we are making to provide you an opportunity for the desired resolution.P.S. If you are interested in accurate current policies, then we recommend reviewing the FAQ and possibly private messaging a mod or Goozex representative concerning any "gray areas". Please consider that users without admin and moderation privileges may not be fully educated on our most current policies.
Wow, this topic must have really rubbed the site brass the wrong way to get a response like that.
