I thought that was prohibited according to Goozex terms of uses ???

USER ID FRAUD. User may not (i) select or use as a User ID a name of another person with the intent to impersonate that person; or (ii) use as a User ID a name subject to any rights of a person other than User without appropriate authorization; or (iii) create multiple User IDs within a single household; or (iv) create multiple User IDs in two or more households for the purpose of defrauding the Company or avoiding adverse action by the Company with respect to User's account.

I just get match with a user, on her account, it says

"UPDATE - 10/12/08 A trader called XXX will be taking over my account in the next week or so. I have enjoyed trading with everyone. If you want to contact me he can tell you how or pass on messages. Thanks."

[mod edit: switched to discussion]

I don't see where that's said to not be allowed, so long as the person getting control of the account doesn't have another account.

Take the link to his profile page out of the post. Like directly referencing usernames, it's discouraged.

I think this should be forwarded to Goozex for investigation (a maybe a change in the TOS to indicate that accounts are non-transferrable).

If the person taking over the account is a good trader, then it's not really a big deal...  but there is no way to tell.  Just "inheriting" a good trading reputation doesn't seem reasonable to me if that person hasn't been in the system before, and could be an open invitation for scammers.

Where do I email support@goozex.com ????

I was quite surprised to see that nothing says in TOS that account are not transferable ... and agree with you and it's the reason why I see it as a problem ...

According to the original owner of the account, the person taking ownership is the person that has been doing the majority of the actual activity on the account. I'd guess, a family member.

Goozex does not allow multiple accounts per user and/or household.  We also do not allow the transfer of points between accounts outside of a Goozex transaction.  You are held responsible for anyone using your account, and your account activity.  You are also held responsible for any actions taken on and/or against the account.  Unfortunately we are unable to discuss other user's accounts.  Happy Trading!Geeked

How do you figure? It sounds like it may be 2 people in the same household and you are just freaking out about nothing

G-Nitro, this isn't really nice and friendly as and answer, I'm not freaking out, I'm taking advice.  Someone passing is account to someone else isn't something I call normal ...

Is I do a search with the user ID written in her note, that is a new user with 0 feedback

And I don't call "a trader called XXX" someone from the family !!!  From what I understand, she was trading for a family, but now pass her account to someone else

And? Is the guy trying to scam the system? Is he some how going to be screwing you over if it's maybe his brother using the account now instead of him. Or a buddy. I don't quite understand what the problem is.

I don't understand why someone would like to take over an experience user account, you can and should build your own reputation.

Yes according to me it would be easier to scam the system as this person can send 10 trades at a time and get his points right away ... so he can sell 10 false games, never send it, but get the point, buy games with those points and then disappear from the system ...
