I used to do event planning for a non-profit. Successfully completing an event without too much going wrong was the best feeling ever.

Back in high school, just taking that damn SAT was a big weight off. More recently, securing my first job out of college almost brought me to tears with relief.

Not that I don't think I can lose it! I was just so thankful to have work in this environment...

In terms of being game hungry, for sure, but much like someone else already mentioned, once I finally get home from work, I have the desire, but no energy.

It's a sad conundrum that not even caffeine can fix. I'll fall asleep directly after drinking a soda these days.

1. Have you ever worked on something for a long time and when it was done felt a weight lift off your chest?

Any lengthy college paper.

Convincing the state to let me carry a gun.

Marriage (ongoing).

In that same vein (kind of), both planning a marriage proposal and planning the wedding itself both felt like a lot of anxiety leading up to it, but when it was done, you're just glad it's over with.

Suckers Wink

I've been engaged since ... uhm not sure, 2004 or 2005 ... with no current plans to get married.  I don't want to rush into things.

Same here, being engaged is good enough. Why spend all that money on a wedding i have video games to buy lol.

I got engage in October 08 and we were married in June 09.  Apparently, she wanted to get it done quickly for whatever reason.  But after the wedding and the honeymoon (all-inclusive resorts ftw) it was definately a weight off of the shoulders.  I put very little planning into the proposal, and it worked out well.  It's all about the misdirection and the surprise :).

Now we are doing the whole househunting deal to get in on the $8,000 tax credit.  Plus, our current lease expires at the end of February, so I really would like only have to move once more, considering I think I have moved something like 10 times since 2001.  The househunting is so far more stressful than the wedding to me, but since my input was like 5% of the wedding, that might have something to do with it.

As for the videogame craving, that totally happens.  It is directly correlated to the amount of time I am spending doing something I don't want to do.

Ah yes, we just bought our first house last month and took advantage of the credit. And you're right. everything about it was extremely stressful. I am definitely happy to have that monkey off my back.

Our first house purchase was Oct 08.. it still irritates me that for helping to stimulate the economy earlier on we got the tax credit that has to be paid back.  Hmm

I was designing a bridge (Engineering) for the past 3 weeks and got all my reports and drawing/part files done on the computer.

This concerns no one else!?!

I will definitely feel a weight lifted when I finish my two finals that are due this weekend. I really should be working on them right now. Procrastination FTL.

And they're done! Yay for not having to spend my weekend on them. It is now officially winter break. Bring on the games!

You don't trust me in building bridges? Wink

It wasn't anything to big; just some work for the County.

This a part time job or something? I thought you were in high school. Though this would explain why you have money to buy "your family" a Wii.  I always remembered having no money in HS.

Does it seem like I have a high school persona?

I think I let this question keep you guessing...

If it helps; I'll let you know I also work as a Land Surveyor.

Not much to guess about considering you have a post in the "How Old are You?" thread. Stick out tongue

I've felt both actually.

When I was in college I was always working on something that felt like I was carrying the weight of the world on my shoulders. Mainly because my group project partners were lazy sunzabeaches. Wink

Now when I'm at work-and tired of dealing with people-I can't wait to get home and pick up the controller. Video games are a solace.

I enjoy this word and its spelling.
