See this is why I have a PS3!!! Fight fight fight!!!

Anyways MS protects it's users sony ignores them. Which is worse depends on the situation :)

I owned CoD4 for the MP, I never finished chapter one of the campaign and I really had no desire.  My gaming hours are few so I want to enjoy the time I have and constantly being glitched or exploiting a programming error doesn't scream "fun".  I'm glad MS stepped in.

Seriously Cheez, can 5 trillion people playing a game be wrong?  The level ups are kind of RPG like, no?

What about this scenario?

I get for Christmas my first Xbox 360 + MW2.  I am so excited.  I play all night and all day.  I level up and get the javelin.  I find the bug and use it.  MS bans me.  After I paid for Gold subscription. 

Fair or not fair?

Keep in mind I have not altered the software or hardware in anyway.

This sounds way too much like the ethical questions in my Criminal Justice final. I refuse to answer on the grounds that I don't feel like it.

Supposedly they only banned people who consistently abused it and were flagged by other users. If newbie was playing a game, was warned by others that was a banning offense and still kept doing it, they have only themselves to blame.

Ok, so what if clan [JOKR] is out to cause some chaos and they start to report innocent users? 

Just saying...

Bottom line is that it's IW's product problem to solve and not MS's problem to step into.

Just because someone is reported, does not mean they instantly get banned. An investigation has to be done, including visual evidence of the cheating by a XBL admin.

Just to add - IW could have asked MS to step in, as any bad pub hurts their software sales.

I thought the temp ban you get was for like a day the first time, then 2 weeks the second offense.  Seriously, if you get a temp ban of one day for something, DON'T DO IT AGAIN!

Hopefully in your searching to find the bug you've also found out about the bans. So you knew the risk. Absolutely fair.

Didn't know about the ban after you found the bug? Ignorance is no excuse. It's not like Xmas is tomorrow.

At least it's nice to know MS is doing something about people purposely using glitches to win (or at least really annoy people) in multiplayer.

... even though I don't play this game or have any intention to ever do so.

It can be in games like capture the flag. Personally I thought it sucked, but i would never have expected a ban. I thought my friend was acting like a little b***h when he threatened to report them. I guess enough people did.
