The Goozex Site Trophies - Quest for the Platinum

Inspired by the platinum trophy threads, I decided to make up a list of trophies/achievements for the Goozex.com site.  A lot of them are easy to get yes, but I tried to make it accessible to all Goozex users, although I'm afraid it is a little skewed to forum users.  I also tried to incorporate the badges, but some of them I thought were a bit too unattainable to be considered a staple trophy (like become a Mod, or become a Goozcast guest.)

This is all in good fun, and the trophies I made up were ones in the interest of good faith and good Goozex practices. And also ones that Goozex could electronically confirm if they wanted to.

SCORING SYSTEM:

• BRONZE - 1 point
• SILVER - 2 points
• GOLD - 6 points

There are 41 trophies (24 bronze, 11 silver, 6 gold) for 82 points total.  (82 points is the standard point total for a PS3 bluray game).  Add up your score and divide by 82 to find you percentage. If you get all 82 points, you've gotten the platinum!

THE TROPHIES:

Fanta (aka Cherry Pop) – BRONZE : Complete your first trade.

Trust me. I Know What I’m Doing. - BRONZE: Qualify for instant credit.

International Person of Mystery - BRONZE: Complete a trade with another user from a different trading region.

Coast to Coast - BRONZE: Complete a trade with a user in each of the 4 time zones of continental North America.

The 11^th one is free! - SILVER: Receive 10 consecutive +10 positive feedbacks.

Oustanding Achievement in the Field of Excellence. - GOLD: Receive 30 consecutive positive feedbacks.

1 Goozex Monster Impregnated - BRONZE: Attain a feedback score of 1

2 Goozex Monsters Impregnated - SILVER: Attain a feedback score of 50

3 Goozex Monsters  Impregnated - SILVER: Attain a feedback score of 200

4 Goozex Monsters Impregnated - GOLD: Attain a feedback score of 500

5 Goozex Monsters Impregnated – Goozex Veteran - GOLD: Attain a feedback score of 1000

We Can Work it Out - BRONZE: Resolve a feedback dispute without escalating to Goozex.

First! - BRONZE: Be first in the queue for a game or movie on its release night.

Patients is of Virtue - BRONZE: Match for a game or movie which you were originally listed as ‘Long Wait’ in the queue

Short Attention Span - SILVER: Trade out a game or movie within 30 days of its release.

We’re gonna need a bigger boat. - BRONZE: Trade out a collector’s edition of a game.

You open it, and it’s still not open. - BRONZE: Trade out a game or movie that is still sealed and new.

Goozex rental - BRONZE: Trade out an item that you received through Goozex.

Goozex is my library - SILVER: Trade out 15 items that you received through Goozex.

Layover - SILVER: Trade out an item that you received through Goozex less than 30 days ago.

What Goes Around - BRONZE: Send an item to a user you previously received an item from. (Or vice versa.)

Horizontal Stripes Make You Look Fat. - BRONZE: Leave a tip for another user.

Thanks, I’ll zip it up right away. - BRONZE: Receive a tip from another user.

It’s OK, He’s with me. - BRONZE: Successfully refer a friend to Goozex.

No More Sitting Alone in the Cafeteria. - BRONZE: Make 1 Friend on Goozex.

Mr. Popularity - SILVER: Make 15 Friends on Goozex.

Show Me the Dotted Line - BRONZE: Create your Goozex signature.

Viral Goozer - BRONZE: Use your Goozex signature on a website outside of Goozex.com

Baby’s first words -BRONZE: Post on the Goozex forums.

Not that you asked… - SILVER: Log 500 posts on the Goozex forums.

Megaposter - GOLD: Log 1000 posts on the Goozex forums.

It’s Getting him to Shut Up which is Hard - GOLD: Log 2500 posts on the Goozex forums.

I don’t work here, but I could. - BRONZE: Post 5 responses to questions in the Help & Support forum that become verified by another user.

Light the Fuse - BRONZE: Start a topic in the forums that reaches a 5^th page of replies.

Firestarter - SILVER: Start 10 topics in the forums that reach a 5^th page of replies.

Hear Ye, Hear Ye! - SILVER: Start  50 topics in the forums.

It’s how you play the game - BRONZE: Participate in a Goozex Forums contest

It’s whether you win or lose - GOLD: Win or place in a Goozex Forums contest

Game Face - BRONZE: Participate in an online Goozex MVP game

And these electrodes get attached to your nipples  - BRONZE: Become a beta tester for Goozex.com

And on the sixth day - SILVER: Attain the Goozex signature creator, Goozex builder, Goozex A/V, or eCard Creator Badge

If you get all the trophies:

No, Goose Sex is the other site - PLATINUM: Obtain all Goozex trophies

Post your score! I'm sure there's some way to make an applet that you can check off boxes and autocalculate your score, but I'm not that gifted.

Incidentally, my score is 20 Bronze, 4 Silver, 0 Gold for a point total of 28.

28 / 82 = 34%

I didn't do the whole scoring thing, but I'm pretty sure I've almost got this one platted.  I need to start a few more huge threads, get a few more trades out to get my fifth goozex egg, and I'm not a beta tester.  However, in true achievement/trophy spirit, that one would probably be 'become a beta tester, or play a game with someone who is' '

EDIT: I don't have a creator badge either, but I do have an in process goozex rpg, so that one's just a matter of time.  Since I don't work on it too often, especially after the fiasco of losing a half done and completed product the last time I was really working on it, it's taking quite a while, but it's an eventuality.

Yeah, figured a lot of the vets like iwx, maskim, gnitro, etc would already qualify for platinum, but i didnt wan to make the list overly difficult either; wanted a good balance to make it accessible.

Ha, yesterday I was cleaning up my computer and I still have the first part of the game.  I deleted about 100GB worth of stuff and saved the game because it is awesome.

16 Bronze, 5 silvers, and 2 golds. Point wise that adds up to 38/82, which is 46%.

24 bronze = 24pts
9 silver = 18pts
4 gold = 24pts

Total 66/82pts, 37/41 trophies.

I am missing out on four, I am close to 1000 feedback and 2500 posts.  I have probably only started a couple of topics that reached 5 pages and I havent gotten any of those fancy badges.

not that I could find. (and I did look for the purpose of this thread)

Anyways for me,

20  21 bronzes

6 silvers

4 golds

56 = 56/82 = 68.3% 57 = 57/82 = 69.5%

I need to start more threads, trade stuff back out faster, and in general keep trading and posting.

BTW, while figuring this out, i added a random exercise DVD that came out today to get the First! achievement. And i'm going to make this a google docs spreadsheet.

EDIT #2: I'm giving myself the "We’re gonna need a bigger boat" achievement for sending out Guitar Hero Aerosmith: Game and Guitar full package. That should be a collector's edition.

I guess not.  The only thing I guess you could do is look at your forum profile and scan the left hand column.  If it's a post where it's a topic you started, it has a little red plus in the icon.

I just did it just now.  scannign through my 650 posts took a little under a minute. I've started 27 topics.

Also I added the Platinum trophy name Mecha proposed.
