For an actual criticism and not some lame joke, I think you need:

  • Singer (or rapper if you really feel like being different). Back-up singer(s) would probably be great too (unless one of you can already kind of sing)
  • Bass (or Tuba/Baritone if you feel like being different)
  • A recording studio (I'm sure that's why it sounded sub-par, and not because of your actual skills)

... and since I feel like including a joke

  • A song about dremels.

A NEW drummer?

I think this kid is still available and does an amazing cover of Chop Suey to boot ....

OMFG - ZoomZoom lives!

This + Holy Crap!

Keep jamming out and try adding in a bass or other instrument to the mix if you find a third person.  It's awesome just to be creative with a few friends and play music.

I haven't listened yet, but judging solely by the titles, I'm envisioning a creedish style christian rock band.

However, since the Nailed to the Cross sounds has the same syllables as a Deicide song, in my brain all I can hear is 'Father? Why have you forsaken me?' before the double bass drum and ear bleeding hardcore death metal riffs open up to the gutteral 'Once upon the CROSS'.

I'm pretty sure that's no where near what you're trying to accomplish, but just in case it is, let me toss my horns up and jump in the pit.

The reality of Nailed to the Cross doesn't quite stack up to your imagination.  Though Neji is better on guitar than I had expected.

Advance happy 3K Maskim.

I currently have no sound at work. Unfortunate, because I was actually curious. I'll try to remember to check it out when I get home.

On this note, we are still looking for other members.

We are trying to find a bassist that can also do some backing vocals

I am going to do guitar and backing vocals (yes, I can carry a tune!)

A singer that can also do rythm guitar (I think it's important to have the rythm guitar with the singer because it really helps emphasize the main guitar. If you have played with a rythm guitar you will know what I mean. Also, it gets the singer more into the band)

The drummer will just drum.

So yeah, we aren't done yet!

Once we essentially have gotten really good (right now we have only been playing for 2 years) we will go to a recording studio because for some reason a regular camera in a small room doesn't cut it!

Thanks everyone! :)

Sounds like you have a good plan there. With the sound quality, it's probably best to be there in person to hear it than anything else. That's the unfortunate thing about not being able to hear it live and instead through whatever it is that you recorded with (which seems to be a regular camera mic).
