Scanners
You win sir, you win.
If you ever read it; you can definitely see that Fahrenheit 451 is definitely the basis for Equilibrium
One of my personal favorite movies. It is Christian Bale + Fahrenheit 451 + Gunfu. If that is a recipe for awesome I don't know what is. Another good one is American Psycho.
Fight Club.
oldboy is definitely the movie that immediately comes to mind.
Off the top of my head, Ferris Bueler's Day Off and Raising Arizona.
MY TACO IS BIGGER THAN YOURS!!!!!
Crank or Heavy Metal are the movies for me.
I've got a love it or hate movie that I find myself quite appreciative of - The Fountain.
It's a bit long and the pacing is a little slow but the idea behind it all is quite moving. Let's see what else.....Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas is one I always seem to notice something new in. Lost Highway is a freakin trip, messes me up for like two days afterwards.
I tend to watch a lot of.....trippy, or dreamy movies. Stuff that feels like you're having a dream (or a nightmare) and once you're done you're not quite sure if you wanna go out into the world right away or not. Plus I love a movie that MOVES me. I do love a good old fashion mindless fun kinda movie but what I really enjoy is a movie that makes me "re-think" things in a non-sappy non-love story kinda way. Ya can only take so much of that before it's time to kill things again
Solatso:.Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas is one I always seem to notice something new in.
That's one that easily makes my list of most mind-numbing and hated movies of all time.
G-Nitro: oldboy is definitely the movie that immediately comes to mind.
I saw somebody else mention this one. I love Oldboy. Still haven't gotten to finish it yet :/
Is Equilibrium based off of Fahrenheit 451? I'm not surprised. I love that book, but it's been a verrrrry long time since I read it last.
for me it would be iron monkey, eastern condors, and dragons forever. :)
Saving Private Ryan
