Before I send this out, I need to be sure I don't get negative feedback. Thing is, to play online, it requires a serial. I entered that on my Live membership and did plenty of (very fun) co-op games with my buddy. Since I beat the game about 2.5 times now, I was wondering if I can still trade it out without the serial being locked for others? I know if it was Steam it would be a simple no, but it's GFW. Anyone get the game yet and still play online after someone used the serial? :/
I don't think it's binded to your LIVE account. Every time I've had to re-install Gears of War PC, it's always asked me for a serial. I also get to option to log into another Gamertag whenever I sign in.
I recently traded my RE 5 for PC used the online serial code, no it does not bind with the account, what you want to simply make sure to do is to get rid and delete all your Live account info installed on the PC, make sure to uninstall the game as well, the serial code does not bind once used on a specific account, its all based on who is using it, if more than one user is using the same serial code you are using, then you can't play the game online. Thats all their is to it, this applies to all GWF games, also the same case for Gears 1 for PC, traded that one twice as well, no problems occurred.
Once the serial is used once, it's binded to the Live account that it was used with. The only way to get online with that copy is to have access to the Live acocunt in question. You could trade it out as long as the person is ok with not being able to access Live with it. Personally, I think all GFW Live titles should be made untradable.
I got GTA4 PC used from here and I'm still able to play online.
Alright. Selecting Manual+Disc would be a better idea than Full Package then since the serial was used?
Oh, cool. I'll inform my next buyer then just in case there's any problems. Appreciate it guys. :)
