I am trying to build my Music DVD Collection. I mostly prefer concert dvds. My genre's are pretty open. Does anyone have any suggestions for a great music dvd? Thanks!

If you like metal, Iron Maiden: Rock in Rio is a good choice.

I watched a Blue Man Group Concert on dvd some time ago. I don't remember the title of it but it was pretty good. The dvd of the performance of Blast! was nice too. I just wish I could have seen it live when it was on Broadway.

If you like Fatboy Slim, I have one of his Big Beach Boutique movies on my offers queue. It wasn't really that interesting to watch, but it was nice to listen to while I was doing other stuff.

Talking about Michael Jackson, I went to see the documentary for "This Is It" a few days ago and it was pretty good. It's a shame though, it looked like it would have been a really awesome concert. I wonder if they will be coming out with a dvd before Christmas. I would totally get one.

My top two are:

Pink Floyd - Live at Pompeii: it wasn't really "live", well, it was filmed "live" I guess but with no audience.

Led Zeppelin - The Song Remains the Same

Both have gotten the remastered treatment recently.

If you like true hip hop, I recommend grabbing the "Soundz of Spirit". Loved it.

Are either of those the heavily percussion style that the old BMGs did? My grandma loved their shows from some years ago, and when she went to a more recent one, she didn't like it because it was more about rock music and less about their drumming, performing, and cool PVC instruments.

It's probably not the older stuff. I found a link and I'm pretty sure it was the Complex Tour: http://www.goozex.com/trading/movies/115937-Blue_Man_Group_The_Complex_Rock_Tour_Live-DVD

I really like their old percussion style but there aren't many dvds for BMG, which is sad. I guess that's what youtube is for...Edit: I think a lot of their videos were removed from youtube. They have better quality videos on their site anyway.

AC/DC are awesome live, and the Reel Big Fish Live CD I have is pretty amazing. Not sure how the live DVD compares, but you can check that out.
