I like to record and upload gameplay videos; about a year ago I uploaded a gameplay video taken from Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic to YouTube, which got a lot of views.
Today I got an email from YouTube. Apparently I can make money from this video:

I know a guy who makes $200 a month off of videos under the partnership program, and he's only got a few thousand subscribers. Take that and multiply it by 10 for some net celebs, and by 50 or more for others -- that's probably how much they are making off of the venture.
Net celebrity truly can pay off.

I think it's because when they announced that new SW MMO, a lot of sites linked to it, although it was fairly popular even before that. I think even the official Star Wars site posted a link. A bunch of people thought it was gameplay from the MMO.

there I "watched" it 3 - 5 times, to try and help you out, don't know if it worked.
Of course your realize, you have to claim ownership of the video and its rights. Then your video has to be pre approved all over again or its deleted. So unless you own that gameplay clip exclusively, your pretty much outta luck.
