Apparently it's been around for a while, but I never heard of it. So I"m hoping to inform others as well. Basically how it works is that you take "courses" designed around improving your sales knowlede of various Microsft products(Windows, Office, Zune, 360 console and services as well as games) you take a quiz at the end and awarded points if you pass. Usually 100 points.  According to the website most of the courses take 10-20 minutes, but of the 5 I took I don't think I took more than 7 minutes on any of them.  As you build up points you rank up and the cost of games drops (ODST for example is $30 at the newbie level, and $10 at the Expert level) .

Aside from the lessons, you can also get bonus points from completing lesson plans(a grouping of courses with a similar themes) as well as promo codes which just outright give you points. Using this I completed one lesson plan, 2 other quizes, entered some promo codes and had enough points for the Veteran status in under an hour after signing up.  So the work involved is minimal.

When you sign up you are asked to put in your info as well as the info for the store you work at (I would assume they check this to prevent scamming)

Now for the bad. I would assume this was put in place to further limit scamming, but you can't just sign up and earn points to go straight through to expert level. After signing up you have 30 days to hit the requirement for Veteran. Even if you hit the requirement before that, you still have to wait the 30 days to gain Vet status, and from there you have 30 days to get the point requirement for Expert status. If you don't hit the requirement by then, then it resets and you have to start from scratch to get the requirement, fortuantely you don't lose the points, they just won't go towards your requirement totals for the promotion. Once expert you have to earn 2000 points over a 3 month period to maintain it. Extremely easy when considering that new promo codes come out monthly, just have to find them.

So if you're patient and don't mind some easy work. You could get some really cheap 360 games as well as other nice little items on the cheap, and even if none of the games available interest you, I'm sure that they'll make for a nice flip here on Goozex.

Also, if you have a microsoft rep at your store you get tons of bonus codes and really don't have to take any classes at all.  Some of the things I got from my time spent at Toys R Us and expertzone:

Microsoft Racing Wheel - $30

Fable 2 - $10

MS branded stress ball - Free

NFR copy of Windows 7 (32 and 64) -$10

So yeah I highly recomend this program.

Do you have a link to the Sony program?

Also, question about earning points. I have enough points to make Veteran status, but have to wait until the 17th to get there. Can I continue to earn points now and they will be counted towards my next promotion, or should I wait until the promotion to earn more points.
