Upgrade your servers!  I've been sitting here for 25 damn minutes trying to add a game to my queue. Now I'll probably have to wait like 2 months to play it.

Don't you just love it? Stayed up to add Assassin's Creed 2 to my requests.  Took 5 minutes for the request window to pop up (normally up in seconds) and I am now awesomely 108th in line XD Haha, ah well.

Compared to last week's Modern Warfare 2 release, things were downright speedy this evening.

Actually - you might be having the 'can't add games' issue that is crippling the site for many folks.  It hits across Firefox, Chrome, Safari and Internet Explorer web browsers, and on Mac OS X as well as Windows XP / VISTA / 7.

Still a fan of the lottery/drawing...but I don't stay up often enough for titles to really care about this 1am Goozex-crapout.

My backlog has gotten too crazy to even care about getting a good spot in line.

I still haven't even played AC1!!!. 

Last game I stayed up for was RE5.  

Annnnd I  wound up buying the special edition xbox.

Side note. Just got batman AA and that game rocks!!

I agree...way too many games outthere that I want to play before even thinking of the newer stuff hence I don't really care what my queue is. Besides...that number means nothing most of the time.....

That's not the problem... unless it is confirmed to only happen the moment the database is updated. But as a test, I just now checked to see how long it took to add and confirm a game, and it only took 4 seconds total to load the game page, click Add to Requests, and confirm Full Package.

The site loads fine moments before an update- not blazingly fast as it is right now, but I could probably load and add a game in 10 seconds total- it's just that 10 seconds before my clock strikes 1, the speed goes from fine to extremely bad. This is a trend that occurs every week there's a popular game, though usually it only takes a couple minutes at the worst. Last night was just a nightmare though. Fortunately I wasn't too far down the queue, probably because everyone else was experiencing the sluggishness with me.

However, the slowness wasn't happening a few months ago: I didn't have any trouble adding Arkham Asylum the moment it updated in August, for instance. Traffic is just getting fiercer and fiercer this time of the year because of all the huge new releases, but the site can't handle it.

I actually thought MW2's release was really easy and smooth. Came in as an afterthought and got 5r and 3rd in line (for the normal and special editions); however, just browsing last night at 11:45 I was getting a lot of slowdown.

Like one of the above posters mentioned, the slow-downs occurred for me at EXACTLY 1:00AM (In Canada).  Even a few seconds before that, the site was loading decently and as soon as it was 1, it just died.
