Which upcoming release are you most hyped for?

Personally, I'm going to pick up L4D2 on Friday and rent AC2 whenever its available.

I've heard Ubisoft has addressed most of the things I hated about the first one, but I'm taking a wait-and-see approach.

I pre-ordered AC2, so I'm looking forward to it more than L4D2. I wasn't a huge fan of L4D, though I admit I didn't play it very often so it was hard to get into it, and I never tried co-op with three friends to get the best online experience.

I still plan to get L4D2 at some point, either on Goozex way down the road, or when the price drops.

I'm more hyped for L4D2.  Got my preorder in at Best Buy, but I'm not going to pick it up right away.  The $10 off coupon expires on the 21st, but I got them to put it in writing, on my receipt, that they'll honor the coupon on the 27th.  $10 off the black friday price of $35?  Yes please, very very excited for that. My wife doesn't want to wait the week, as she wants it ASAP, but at that price...  Wink

I am picking up Assasins creed on Tuesday.  I never played the first left 4 dead so I am not looking forward to the second one.

AC2 between those choices.

L4D was fun, but I had more fun with Assassin's Creed. Neither makes my "Tier 1" favorite games, but I'd probably put AC in my Tier 2 favorites: games I play once or twice and recommend that others give it a try. These games usually also fall under games I stay up til Midnight to request on Goozex, and then trade out again as soon as I'm done to get most of my points back.

L4D is probably Tier 3 at best. A game I only play once (if single player) or if one of my friends comes over to hang out (if multiplayer/co-op). These games I request when I get a free chance, but won't "activate" until they're 400 points or less.

I hope AC2 surprises me. I expect it to be a Tier 2 game. I really wanted to love the first one, but it just wasn't all that great. Next games I'm getting really hyped over are Mass Effect 2 and Final Fantasy XIII.

Neither are an immediate buy with me, but I'd say AC edges out as more anticipated.

I was heavily into L4D.  Built a clan around it, moderated the #1 fan page for PC/360 users, and buried myself in that game and that game alone.  But it got old fast unfortunately, and with the revelation of VALVEs moves to jump ship straight to L4D2 (hinting at an L4D3 no less!), I'm avoiding this one on principles similar to my disgust with MW2.  However, with MW2 taking the cake on f-up of the year in the PC department, something unfathomable a few months ago, I've reassessed my outlook on L4D2 as a lesser of two evils, and may take the plunge sooner than I'd anticipated.

AC on the other hand I enjoyed straight out of the box, but quickly found it to be a bit mundane, and that was on PC, which supposedly had more to do than the console version, so I quickly fell out of playing it.  I did enjoy the overall premise of the title though and do plan on grinding it out, and am hopeful that the second is a bit more exciting by the midway point.  However, since the first one quickly went to lackluster with me, I'll either get AC2 via Goozex, or a severe discounted sale somewhere down the line.

I don't know why but i'm not really hyped on either one of them. I still have a bitter taste in my mouth from the repetitive nature of AC, and I never did get into L4D. So i'll put both of them on my holds list.

I'm not hyped for either as well.  I tried the L4D demo last year and the L4D2 demo this year and it's just not my type of game.

I played the first AC to completion in virtually 16 hours straight.  Started around 5:30 pm on a Saturday night and finished up the next morning around 9:00 am.  I was going for achievements and crap like that too, but you want to talk about repetitiveness.  I wanted to tear my eyes out after putting myself through that.

That being said, I am skeptical about AC2.  I will add it to my on hold queue until user/critical reviews are in.  L4D2 I am not even going to bother with.

In reality, I'm not super-hyped for either game (in fact, not very hyped for any game right now), but I wouldn't mind throwing both on my requests list. I'm probably more excited by AC2, but that might be because I've yet to fully play the first one, and only got about half way with it. At the time, Assassin's Creed was the first game I played on the 360 (actually, I played SFIV first, but I hated it), so it should feel a bit special that a sequel is coming out.

Amazon is currently matching that sale on select titles (it's a spend $80 get $20 off) but neither of these are on there yet. Will have to check tomorrow.

If I had any money I would be hyped more for AC2. I'll defiantly be putting it on my requests list. As for L4D2 I have Borderlands to keep me busy. I'll probably pick up L4D2 after Christmas when I'm sure it will be on sale.

I've got AC2 pre-ordered, so obviously I'm looking forward to it.  I, for the most part,  liked the first one.

I never got into L4D, so I'm not very excited for the 2nd...
