I've been doing this on another forum and so far it's been pretty fun. Plus, with all the movie trade things happening right now, I thought this would be the perfect time to introduce...
The Goozex Film Club!
How it works:
1. Every week, a different user has to pick a movie for the club to watch, following specific guidelines (For example: Best Picture Winner, The 70's, Based on a Novel, etc. etc.).
2. You acquire the movie and watch it within the week.
3. At the end of the week, you and your fellow Goozex film club members discuss the movie.
4. A new movie is picked and the cycle repeats.
I know this is kind of stupid, but this is my favorite forum and personally, I like discussing things with all of you, so that's why I thought I should try and bring this over here (Plus I'm really bored).
What I'm asking is, who's interested? If there are enough people who think this isn't a lame idea, we could try it out.
Note: You are not required to participate every week, if that affects whether or not you want to join.

This is a really cool idea, in my opinion. I doubt I'd be able to participate more than once in a blue moon, but I'd really like to see this idea get off the ground.

I have netflix so this might interest me as long as the movie being chosen is not some movie I have already seen or have no interest in at all like Maid in Manhattan or Footloose because then I would probably just skip it.
If a new person can pick a movie each week with something that no one has ever seen that they can highly recommend then this would interest me more because if the movie is Robocop or Edward Scizzorhands then it would be pointless because I watched it 5x already or saw it 10 years ago and have no interest to watch it again haha but I can still offer an opinion I suppose if I have seen it several times

I forgot to mention, you don't have to participate every week. So if Footloose comes up, though I doubt it will, you don't have to watch it.
Also, if you have already seen the movie, you wouldn't have to watch it again. You already have an opinion of it.

This sounds like it could be interesting. I'm not sure how often I would be able to participate but it sounds like a lot of fun. If the movies is on Netflix instant watch my chances of being able to participate go up quite a bit. I gotta say I would like to see where this goes.
I think this sounds like a good and really fun idea...even if I couldn't in on all of them I would deffinitely participate whenever I could. Good Idea man
Sounds Good - I think this idea will be better with movies that arent mainstream so more people can watch them new when they offer their opinion and if thats the case then I would definitely try it if the movie looked interesting

Most of the requirements will be things that will hopefully encourage more unknown movies.
With a few members I think we could set this up and pick the first movie already.

I'd be interested in doing this periodically. Sounds like a good idea, especially if the movies were ones available via streaming Netflix.
