I'm thinking about getting this version of Oblivion. I did notice that the PS3 version looked better, however there is a major bug with the Vampire quest that was never patched for the PS3.
That said I could deal with a tad bit of tone down graphics as long as the 360 version was patched up. Is this the case? Also, graphically was there a difference between the first issue of Oblivion on the 360 and the GOTY edition?
I would get the GOTY edition if its available - it patched up a few major glitches (including the screen freeze one that wouldnt let you finish one of the quests) , it loads quicker and there is all that added bonus content. I have only tried the 360 version so I dont know how it stacks up against the PS3 version graphically but I have played it through numerous times and its definitely worth getting.
That's good to now. Happens a friend of mine offered the regular edition of Oblivion of PS3, maybe I'll try that one first. Again, though I read that there was some issues with Vampirism for that console so maybe I'll just try it then if I like it go for the Xbox GOTY edition.
The bugs weren't limited to the regular version for me. A main quest from one of the expansions crapped out on me and because of that I have been unable to beat it. All my saves came after I had gotten deep into the glitched mission and I just don't have the heart to start over just so I can beat it.
