Which store will you bring your coffee and pajamas too, just to wait to get that first item? And what Item will that be?
I'm heading to office max for the free 20pk batteries then target for the <$200 Navigation system for my door busters
I don't do Black Friday. I really don't feel like getting trampled to death at a walmart for a 20 dollar dvd player or something else retarded.
gonna go to old navy for Lego Rock Band first... possibly staples or best buy after that(Old navy is 3 am)... I'm not too worried about mobs of people... I do frequent death metal concerts... no soccer mom can compare to a massive circle pit
PM me your email for a Lockerz invite... still have 20 to give out for Z list status):
I try to avoid the doorbusters because they require longer waiting in line than I like to do on a Wisconsin November morning. However, my friend and I are beginning to make Black Friday a tradition, so we will be out braving the crowds and then heading for breakfast.
I'm on a much tighter budget this year, thanks to the house purchase, so I'll probably be looking mostly at blu-ray sales.

I've been thoroughly unimpressed with this year's deals, so I may forgo it completely in favor of ordering online.
Also, what timpy san said about Wisconsin Novembers.

Wait......what is this "stores" you speak of? Do you mean the internet?
The only Black Friday deals I bother with are online. People who go out there and fight (sometimes literally) the crowds for some deal are idiots. I love saving money, but the way Black Friday is treated and the way people act, show how ignorant people can be just to save.
Here I thought it was fun. Apparently I'm just an idiot. Good to know.

People dying every year due to Black Friday deals is not what I would consider fun

They knew the risks. It's in he standard black friday debriefing.
"There's some great deals out there this morning! Some of you will be coming back with a new tv. Others with a blu ray player for less than $100. Others won't be coming back with anything special. ....Some of you won't come back at all."
Black Friday is great, it's like one of those old Reese's Peanut Butter Cup commercials.
Hey, you got your bargain hunting in my mosh pit.
No, you got your mosh pit in my bargain hunting!

What about the employees dying because of these idiots' stupidity? Those are the ones I worry about, not the dumb ones stampeding or fighting for toys.
There was one elderly greeter that made the news regarding that. It's not like it's a widespread problem.
It's like people over reacting to swine flu, because its killed nearly 1000 people in America so far. Until it kills the 36,000+ that normal seasonal flu does in America every year, it's not worth worrying about.
If one person dies during a sale, that's a tragedy, and those responsible, caught up in their mob mentality should feel remorse, and face some type of punishment. However, for those who played no hand in that tragedy, at most they should be more aware, and are completely unaffected by it, other than stores hopefully having better systems in place for safety. I'd be willing to bet that more Walmart employees died that day to to traffic accidents on their way to work, disease, or natural causes, than did due to the black friday sale.

It wasn't just an elderly greeter. This guy was only 34. http://www.nydailynews.com/ny_local/2008/11/28/2008-11-28_worker_dies_at_long_island_walmart_after.html
One death is too many because of great deals. No one should have to die because people can't curb their materialistic obsessions to act properly on Black Friday.
That's the greed of our society for you.
