It may just be me, but playing Domination is giving me some big time flashbacks to Day of Defeat on PC.  The maps don't have the same linear progression most DoD maps had, but the psychology of how to read the maps (and enemies) is very similar.

It was a smaller map, but I always loved sniping on Avalanche.

Avalanche was big fun after the nade glitch at spawn (on the American side if I remember) was fixed.  Anzio, Kalt and a few of the custom maps that snuck in from Counter-strike (like Office) were alot of fun.  For a free mod, DoD was an amazing MP game.

I'd love to see a CoD game-type that would emulate DoD's 5-flag capture to win the map type of gameplay.  Domination is the closest to fitting the bill.

^^^From what I've read, in MW2, silenced sniper rifles lose alot of power, so you prob wouldn't get a one hit kill. I'd still like to try it though.

This is true. I use the silencer on the sniper rifle. Unless I hit a headshot, it takes two to take someone out.

I don't think I could make my decision until 2 years from now. Then
I will see if MW2 is just as fun XD.

Although the multiple airstrikes and spec ops mode is a plus.

Donner was my baby personally, loved sniping on the Source version of that map.

Agree 100% with the 5 flag sentiment.  DOD was one hell of an intense game around the 2/2 flags, and the ninja capouts were always amusing.  Man I hate what the 'Beta Update' did to that glorious game.

I was home sick yesturday so I got through most of the SP campaign.  That was one of the worst storylines ever.  It was stupid from the airport scene on (I am 2 missions away from completion).  By stupid I mean totally unbelievable and would never happen in the real world.

I still think it is better than COD4 just for the Special ops, though.

lol I read a review that suggested you'll see more action in 10-15 minutes of MW2 than most service members will see in an entire deployment.  I laughed.

I didn't even think of that aspect.  That's true as well.  The message I got out of the game was that the USA military sucks and we can have our capital dominated by surprise in one day after a certain  event happens.  All I can say without spoilers.

The only line I liked was "Hostiles are in Burger Town. Take em out"

Do they end up just 'tactically' nuking the burger joint?  Seems to work in MP.

No.. you have to run over and use your guns...Angry  For some reason, the developers have not given you a tactical nuke in the game. They also take over the Taco Bell store, whatever that was called in the game.

And my new highest kill ratio in MP is 4!!! I was on fire last nightYes

I can honestly say now the MW2 is far superior to MW (and that is no insult to MW). I've been playing the Single player campaign and i'm sure i'm near the end. Everyone who says this campaign is too short, that is just because the game is awesome to the point where you never want it to end.

The game has more "oh sh*t" moments than the first (i'm still not done yet) and has actually had several pleasant surprises and answered questions i had at the end of MW. I guess it also helps that im playing the game on the hardest difficulty so that i can get the most out of it.

Played the spec ops level where you are in an AC-130 and your partner is on the ground. That was hella fun! I was in the AC-130 and my buddy was running around on the ground. Lots of close calls and OH SHIT! momements and lots of laughs. Nothing beats letting off the 104mm cannon.

Only downside is that I helped him earn 3 stars, but I didn't get any stars since I hadn't unlocked that level Angry

Thank you Catastrophic for that class.

I've been doing extremely good with it. It made the game a tiny bit more enjoyable. I still like COD4 better, however. Like G-Nitro said a few pages back, I only feel like playing this game with friends. It's not good enough to play by yourself, like COD4.

Is that the first one in in the Beta Spec Op? Overlord I think it is called.

I played that one last night on hardened with a friend.  Took about 45 minutes but we did it.  I agree if it was this level.  this level was a BLAST!  That is our favorite so far.  Sucked only getting hit twice and dying.  My friend made it through the door with three seconds left.

Yeah, I think it's overlord. It took you 45 mins? I think we finished it in about 20 mins if not less.

Very- Very fun.

We also did the infiltration level together. I suck at sniper, so it took us about 3 tries - LOL!!!
