QFT. I'm loving MW2.

Talking strictly MP since I haven't played much of the SP in MW2, the first MW has better MP. MW2 is a hell of a lot a fun, don't get me wrong, but the excessive spraying gets old after a while, you could argue that it forces you to be more careful about your decisions but in my opinion it simplifies it too much.
I picked up MW2 yesterday and been having a blast playing. I like the new perks, killstreaks and the emblems and titles are nice too. MW2 got my vote.
G-Nitro: I'm not enjoying MW2's gameplay as much as CoD4's. Maybe I will soon, but as of now, I don't think the maps are as good. Some of them are just too big for it being capped at 18 players. It's fun, but just not something that is making me feel "OMG! I need to play more! Gotta rank up."

My thoughts exactly.
I'd say MW has better MP than MW2, but MW2 SP is awesome, HOWEVER, MW2 to many audiences shouldn't consider this the final build of MW2 MP, since it never went into beta, and I know that a TU will be going up soon to improve some flaws in MW2s MP, but I will say that the maps on MW2 don't seem like balance-wise, they were developed more structural-wise, the maps have no balance its like they pulled them right off the SP and changed so little, no equal ground from opposite sides of the maps, but that doesn't mean their bad, it just takes time to get used to it, since much more added is ridiculous chaos in the MP, and you die much easier here than on MW, just get use to it, eventually it grows on you.
MW2 IS THE SHIT!

I'm the opposite. I thought MW2 SP blew chucks. I'm glad it was 4-5 hours so I could get through it quickly and get to the MP which is where I think it shines.
Overall, MW1 I think was better just because it was a break through and MW2 is just a slight improvement on something already there.
EDIT** Errr sorry, I think I agree with you . . . .
Another issue I have with the maps on Multiplayer are the fact they are so unbalanced on team play. 95% of the maps turn into a battle for one spot or side, and the team that holds it for the longest wins. It's like a huge King of the Hill battle. The maps work fine for a Free for All, but are just not good for team battles like CoD4's were. The maps are so cluttered, it's hard to even tell where you are at times. I hope if they release a map pack, they have better design for balanced team gameplay.
I do think the perks, kill streaks, titles and emblems are all great additions and I love unlocking them, but that's just an added bonus. The more I play it, the more I am getting used to the MP, but I shouldn't be getting used to it, I should just be having fun.
Also, still nothing better than nailing someone with a n00btube through a small window or across the map. And blowing up cars to kill people never gets old either. xD
Better gameplay and story line.

Oh I hope not. The last thing I want is to be limited to having to pay cash in order to play balanced maps.
I actually don't mind the MP maps thus far. They've been very dynamic for me. I think it's more an example of human nature than bad design that creates the tendency of fighting over one spot on the map. I've seen quite a few maps with multiple tinderboxes (except for Terminal, of course, which based on the game we were all in last night is certainly affecting your opinion in the morning). Haha.

I think it's safe to say that Infinity Ward went for the "if it's not broke then don't fix it" creed for the multiplayer. Until MW2 came out, plenty of people were still playing MW1, which is quite a feat. I put in another 4-5 hours in MP last night and had to force myself to get to bed. It's just plain fun.
I do agree with G-Nitro about some of the maps being geared more towards a "gain and defend" rather than open ended maps. Estate is one, it seems like the snow board with the train tracks is another with the big building people hole up in. The rainy map Underpass is my favorite. I seem to have the most fun there.

Oh god, that Airplane was freaking annoying. XD But yeah, Estate is another one that is unbalanced. Everyone fights for the house. Once that is controlled, that team usually wins.
I like Rust for a good old fashioned knife fight. :D

I've been playing a class I dubbed "Assassin" (no points for originality). I have a P90, Handgun but I try not to use them. I use the unlimited sprint, fast movent speed and whatever the advanced combat perk is. I run around like a maniac and knife whoever I can. I usually die more than I kill, but I have a lot of fun doing it and I know I really annoy the hell out of people. One game I was able to get 17 kills over 13 deaths, I was quite happy. Last I checked I had over 50 of the "Most Knife Kills" accolade. The best is when you can knife 2 or 3 people that are grouped up...needless to say that doesn't happen often, but when it does its sweet!
Question: Does anyone bother using the throwing dagger? I have it equipped on said Assassin class but I can never hit with it! I've killed only one person ever with the damned thing.
I haven't tried it, but I did get killed by one yesterday. Kind of humiliating.
