DirtyHippie: On a similar note I received the Assassin's Creed CE and it didn't come with the figurine, and I requested the full package. This doesn't mean much to me but I plan on sending it back at some point. What type of feedback should I be leaving? Sorry to hijack the thread.

Did you get it for ps3? I got matched up with a guy twice for it, and I asked him the first time if it had everything, and he said it didn't have the figure. So I told him I didn't want it and to not offer it like that. Just curious if he put the screwing on you.
Bobster823: Even shipping in bubble mailers does not prevent accidents from happening. I shipped a game in a bubble mailer and the case was damaged in transit. I was the original owner so I knew it was in A+ condition, but what can you do. Is it possible that you got neutral because you didn't send the original case, but instead a generic one?

Haha yeah that is the reason Thanks guys for helping me out. I accepted the Neutral feedback.
BuryMe: I think it would depend on the degree to which the case is damaged. if it's just slightly cracked, no, it shouldn't be neutral. But if it's broken to the point that it doesn't hold the game any more, then a neutral is perfectly justified. Also, are you completely sure that you sent an official case, rather than just a genaric, replacement case?

Actually no, the only thing you can do for a badly cracked case is leave a +5 positive. A cracked case isn't grounds for a neutral if the game plays fine. As long as he sent everything, I probably would have just +5'd.
Wait... it was a wrong case you sent, or you F-ed yourself by accepting a neutral instead of a +5? I'm confused.
joshboy101: Thanks for all the feed back guys. I just figured out that it was a generic case. I thought it was retail but it turns out I was wrong. Sorry for all the trouble.

This is why he took the neutral.

I mean, if I were to run a manual through a paper shredder, could I still list the game as full package so long as i included the paper "pulp" with it?

If it was so badly damaged that it wasn't really a case any more (i.e. it won't hold any thing anymore) i would leave a neutral. To say something is provided, it should actually be functional. This was my initial thought as well. at what point does an item shipped no longer resemble that item anymore? If I shipped a special edition of a game that came with a cobra, and wrapped the cobra in a mongoose would I still deserve a +5? after all I sent the FP???
Sorry for technically going off topic on this, I know it's been found out that a generic case was sent, but I think it's a good discussion.

If I was the buyer, that would be like getting a free mongoose...you would just need to be careful extracting the cobra. In my book that's a +10 and a tip for you, good sir.

Although I agree with your paper shredder example, I'm just basing my thoughts off of the very first game I received from Goozex came with about 3/4 of a case. The bottom of the 360 case was completely gone. It couldn't hold discs, and they'd fall right out the bottom. My neutral was changed not to a positive,( as I wrote goozex and told them I was new, so if a +5 was more appropriate that I was ok with that, as I didn't know the system yet) but to a full +10 positive.
This is from the shipping instructions from goozex right above the buyers address
1. Put the original product in a bubble or protective envelope.
As long as everything else is there, you should still receive +5
Personally, I send everything in bubble wrap and write FRAGILE on both sides. That seems to help.
