Don't you love how the only person on the panel thats made to look ignorant is the only person on the panel that actualy knows what he is talking about? How typical of this "News outlet"

I don't know if "made to look ignorant" is the right term to use. The guy seemed to have had a bad case of stage fright and was stumbling over his words while doing little to defend his viewpoint.
Regardless, it winded up being as one sided as a "discussion" can be.

It's Fox News, what do you expect. They're the ones who made Mass Effect sound like harcore porn.
Wow. That was almost as bad as when Fox and Friends did the Six Days in Fallujah interview. And you can see the dude from common sense media has a smug look on his face during the interview. It was painful.
MY TACO IS BIGGER THAN YOURS!!!!!
Actually, Adam Sessler was invited to defend the game on the show but I guess he declined. I don't think you can blame Fox for that dweb when Sessler should have done it.
Source: he said he was invited in his "Adams Soapbox" video when he talks about the airport scene.

I dont think it would have mattered who was there to defend the game. The host of the show had his mind made up before the interview. That was easy to tell based on the end of the interview where the guy was saying how it is not real and the host stated something absured about little kids playing the game and becoming terrorists.
Adam's smart enough to know the crap that Fox pulls. I would have turned down the request with the response that I only do interviews with REAL news stations.
Poor Jon that was a setup from the start, 2 against 1 is difficult even for good public speakers to win.
Yea, but I think that jeof kelley (dude from gametrailer however you spell it) did a good job on the mass effect fox story. Plus, fog horn leghorn would have done bette rthan the other person.
A well though out counter argument could have nipped the final sentance in the bud. Something along the lines of it isn't up the the game makers to police what kids play, it is the parents responsability. Please don't take blame away from the parents who allow the kids to play in the first place.
We use stuff like this in libraries all the time. Works quite well.
Also, there is nothing wrong with fox news. It is just like any other news network. They lean right, the others lean left. I am actually more nervous when any president says a news station is doing a good job and the other is not. I don't think any other president has done this. Please correct me if I am wrong. And I have not stated whether I like Obama or not. So please don't flame me for views I have not expressed. It just seems like an attempt to control the media to me.
Thats my opinion. Anyways, again, I think sessler could have done a good job defending it even if it is two against one.
This interview with Totilo is much better. Interesting, balanced, and non-aggressive.http://kotaku.com/5403400/msnbc-talks-terrorism-of-modern-warfare-2-with-totilo

Fox News sucks. But I think everyone expected the game to raise a stink. I haven't played the game, but I got the impression that one of the objectives for the terrorist campaign WAS to watch or optionally join some Russians gunning down a bunch of innocents? Either way the game could consist of 5 hours of bestiality and as long as it has Call of Duty on the box it will sell like crazy.
I have not decided on whether I will play the scene or not yet. I have read that the scene does not really fit in with the campaign and that the game would have played the same without it included. To those who played it. Did it feel like it was included for shock value or was it an intrical part of the plot?
Please don't get my question wrong. I don't have an issue that it is included. They clearly warn you it in included and about to happen and can skip it. I just don't think I will play it if it is just for shock value. I would if it is necessary for the story, though (or if you just get more out of the story by playing it).
Thoughts by those who have the game?
The level actually kind of sets the main events of the game in motion. Was the civilian section of the level NEEDED? Not really. But it wasn't gratuitous at all.

Actually Fox news is not like any other station. It's the top rated cable news network, has been for a long time, and which other stations "lean left" exactly? CNN? Larry King interviewing Carrie Prejean is "left" leaning?
Also it was recently revealed that Fox News was involved in staging the tea bagging "protests". There was an internal memo leaked, directing the producers on how to instruct the tea bagger crowds to spread out more and "appear larger/more populated"
Later it was revealed that Fox News reused the same footage of the staged tea bagging incidents, on different dates, claiming to be different "protests". Meanwhile it was the same footage from a slightly different angle.
That isn't "leaning right" it's outright fiction. They are staging their own fake news.
I wish I could remember the last bit I just saw, it was about a fake item that Fox News staff leaked to themselves. I believe it was a comment attributed to the president that he did not say, only fox news reported on it, but it was later proven false. Then later one of the talk shows on FN made a joke about it, as if it was so funny the president said it. That's again not "leaning right" it's the opposite of journalism.
Staging tea bagger events, then reusing fake footage, and then reusing false quotes... FN has even "apologized" for the memo that was leaked. If it was never leaked, they would never apologized.
FN is also owned by rupert murdoch, who owns NYPost, Dow Jones, Wall Street Journal... NYPost is currently being sued over sexual harassment, discrimination etc.. over firing an editor because she objected to the NYPost cop shooting a monkey and implying it was obama.
The documents in that suit released so far show that the EIC was brought over personally by Murdoch, and that the entire purpose of NYPost was to "destroy obama" according to this EIC, (NYPost loses tons of money) and their defense that a cop shooting a monkey "we didnt' know it would be offensive" despite the history in the USA of racist caricatures of blacks and monkeys going back hundreds of years in the print media AND an editor voicing objecting BEFORE it was published. They published it anyway, then fired the objecting editor.
This is only the tip of the iceberg when it comes to the radical right wing Murdoch and his top down agenda of major tax cuts for the richest 1%, all other considerations be damned.
For the record I was a big Ron Paul fan and not a big Obama supporter. I get 90% of my news from AP, Politico, Harpers, Local News, SFGate, Boston, etc...

By Fox News own admission as recent as this month the MAJORITY of their "News" is actually opinion. Watch the John Stewart Kit about Fox News being attacked by the white house (which I agree is a waste of time). Fox news lists all of it's big names; Fox And Friends, Beck, Hannity, Gretta, whoever....everyone you have heard of as Opinion! So this is just opinion.
Fox News is garbage. As for the tea bag protests not only do they set them up and pay for them and run them they also lie about crowd size. Hannity was showing pictures of a small DC rally for Michelle Bachman and those pictures were from the Tea Bag DC rally that had 75k(which they claimed was millions). Fox news lies constantly.
However, I won't just pick on Fox News. MSNBC, CNN are both horrific garbage as well. Like their coverage of the Repubs winning 2 Governer seats while losing the only 2 seats that count at a national level. They made it sound like the American public was going against Obama while 1 of the Seats was won in Virginia a state that is historically Republican and historically votes against the party in power during OFF OFF elections. New Jersey had a scum bag wall street exec as a Governor with really low popularity. Then the Dems took the 2 HOUSE SEATS (you know the ones that get to vote on NATIONAL Issues like healthcare which the Dems won by 2 votes btw) 1 of those seats was in a swing district and the other had been held by the GOP since the civil war!
Yet the GOP winning 2 nationally meaningless races was the main story on CNN, FOX, and MSNBC. CNN and MSNBC are NOT left by any means. They are sensationalist just like FOX who is sensationalist and Right Wing. Of course most news is just vomit from the Associated Press which is another garbage news conglomirate.
