Like the majority I disagree with this change. At first I read it as a bonus, which seemed like a good idea but unneccessary. Then when I read that's exactly what feedback would be, I was vehemently against it. In fact, if this was around when I first started, I would have left after only 2 or 3 trades since all I had at the time was last gen games, and very few on top of that, some of which still haven't even traded out. So in all, a bad idea.
I thought the point of the feedback system was to weed out bad traders, and gradually increase the number of active trades a person could have. The ability to trade a game well is independent of the points that game is traded for. How good or bad one trades a game worth many points doesn't show more information regarding how good or bad the trader is.
If you want to muck around with the feedback system, then the condition requested, disc, manual, case should be the focal point.

LOL - in that case - Killmak for Supreme Chancellor of the Empire in 2012!
I agree. I trade a LOT of older games and I'm afraid that if older games don't carry much feedback, people will be inclined to dump all there shitty condition games on the goozex market because even if they get a negative, it won't hurt them as badly.
That being said, perhaps you could create a system where positive feedback is scaled based on points but where negative feedback is always equal. I don't mind a scaled feedback model at it's face, but I definitely think it's a bad decision to have a 1000 point game be worth TEN TIMES the feedback of a 100 point game. Maybe scale it so that any games 500 points or below get one feedback rating and any games over 500 points get another rating? I don't know, just some ideas I'm throwing out there for the discussion.
In general though, I'm pretty happy with the way it works now.
And how quickly they ship. I would like to have more options for neutral feedback. I often get games in very poor condition that are complete and technically playable but are not really worthy of a positive feedback. I'd love some more categories for a neutral feedback, like heavily scratched by playable disc. I mean, if you get a disc full of scratches, it might work at first, but then cause a problem near the end of the game
I guess no one liked my idea, huh, lol. Oh well, I think the current promotions are awesome anyway. I will gladly trade 10 dvds for a free movie regardless of the point value. You can count on it!
not a fan of using the value of a game to change the amount of feedback received but I would be for a system that gave a +5 to high DEMAND games with fewer than say 2 trades a month

I agree. If you want to try and provide some sort of feedback incentive just make it a flat out bonus. A +5 for high demand games seems in the ballpark. I don't think it'll be huge or anything, but it might be nice for new people getting started so they can get more trade slots open faster.

I too find it an interesting idea. However, I think it hasn't gotten much traction here since it kind of strays too far from the topic of the thread. If you want a more indepth discussion try posting a new thread about it the suggestions forum.
Why fix something that isn't broken?
I already disagree with some of the changes that were made before. -10 for a neutral seriously? Neutral is just that nuetral. Niether good nor bad.

In a few cases, I would welcome a Neutral being worth 0 on feedback. However there are those that abuse Neutral and will purposely send out less than Full Package as Full Package, figuring that their feedback score can take a hit, but at least they will still receive the points. If Neutral were actually worth 0 instead of -10 there would likely be more instances of this happening.
Veering off topic, but I would welcome a change that would discourage this kind of behavior further or at least give the buyer a defined recourse against a trader with a pattern of abusing the system in this way.

Bad idea, this would just keep people from trading away lower point games or dvd's since they don't earn any feedback for it. Personally I don't think trading away higher point games entitles you too more feedback since you are getting more points. You think off it your making less by trading away 100 point games than you are 1000 or 1200 point items, so I don't know why you want to penalize them for that.

No, because there needs to be some kind of penalty for mislisting items (not full package when listed as such) and since neutral is all we are allowed to leave for that, I'd be pissed if they didn't take a feedback hit at the very least.
It had to be done. If there was absolutely no punishment for falsely listing your games, every one would just list everything as full package, regardless of what they had
i dont like this idea at all. a trader should be judged by the care and consideration they put into all of their sales not just 1000 pointers.
