If you're into Sonic's Collection solely for the plat, you can do that in a dedicated weekend (save maybe the cursed Yatta trophy).  I had mine sitting around for so long, saw it one afternoon, and said 'screw it' I'm beating it...so I did.

I remember the Yatta challenge.  I definitely went online for help with that one.  I am terrible at Dr. Robotnik and those type of games.  My wife is so good at Dr. Mario that she made me hate that game forever.

I got the plat on the sonic ultimate genesis game.  I played Phantasy Star 1-3 when they were first released (still have them all in mint condition) but I never played number 4.  I would like to as I loved the original ones.  I also liked the shining in the darkness games and woulnt mind playing them again as well.

Mine is pretty weak.

  1. Borderlands
  2. MW2 when it arrives via Amazon
  3. Burnout Paradise
  4. Saint's Row
  5. PGR 4
  6. Mass Effect (gotta get outta the Citadel)
  7. Bionic Commando: Rearmed
  8. Lego Star Wars II (might not be beating this, got it because my gf enjoyed Lego Batman and now we are just friends)
  9. Orange Box (according to xbox.com haven't played since 4/29/09, wow)

Just under 10, not horrible but a little more than I expected. A stupid Research paper due this sunday is limiting my time with Borderlands.

I read, and read, and read for help online about it; most attributed it to luck (some actually beat it by pausing, leaving the room for a while, and returning to unpause and find the title beaten!?).  The strategy that 'worked' for me was elementary in practice, but the theory was sound.

Just start vertically stacking the pills along the leftmost side until you reach the top, then, immediately start stacking along the rightside to the top.  Alternate stacking to the top until you've run out of space.  Ideally what will happen is that while this is entirely random, you'll surely match something here and there which will in turn cause the stacks to fall and potentially match something else.  The cascade will then defeat the nearly cheating AI.

To be honest, this only partially worked for me.  I had been playing the damn title for so long I finally began to actually understand it and see potential moves.  So I started the silly stack move, then added to it manually for the best possible placement.  When I finally won this thing, the controller nearly flew out the window...with glee this time rather than rage.

I promptly sent it to kandal afterwards...lol.

I love the Shining Force games.

I forgot to add the Sonic Collection in my original list of backlog games. I picked it up because of Shining Force and Kid Chameleon.

Crap...forgot about Mirror's Edge (PS3) and Mass Effect (PC).  Well, I won't count Mass Effect as I've decided to hold off on requesting it, but it's on my radar now that STEAMs weekend deal reminded me of it.

It was sheer luck after about an hour of trying the stack the sides method that it finally worked for me.  I actually found something else on that disc to be more difficult completing, but I can't for the life of me think of what it was.

WOW!  Good luck with that...lol

I am in way over my head with all of these, I know...The sad part is a new game always comes along and I end up requesting and playing that before even attempting something I already have.
