Well as everyone know MW2 came out late last night. And i was wondering who has it now?

Won't EVER buy the gimped PC port with all of the core FPS features removed. And since the signs aren't pointing to me getting a review copy, that likely means I won't play unless it appears for <$20.

I have very little interest in MW2. Just added it to my requests so I should see it by the end of 2011.

I have very little interest in MW2. Just added it to my requests so I should see it by the end of 2011.

I'm with TXA. This is no longer a PC oriented franchise...so there was no PC porting here. I read a Q&A session hosted by Best Buy I think with the IW devs and they pretty much confirmed this, as well as skirt any PC related questions.

$10 more than normal for a product that removes all advantages of PC gaming over consoles...no thanks. Heck, I'm not even that critical of their terrible decisions; lower the cost $10-$30 and return dedicated servers and I'll be hard pressed to stay away forever.

Otherwise, I'll have no issue just holding out for BC:2. It [Modern Warfare 2] doesn't look like a title I could live without, but rather just one of the few titles coming out this fall that I have any interest in.

this game looks good but I chos no because I'll wait until Gozoex sends it to me even though Im in like 500th place I dont really care because I have way too many games coming (including Dragon Age today hopefully Yes ) plus a huge backlog that I have to work on. I didnt even care enough to stay up for a spot at a lower position

I don't even mind the 'port' aspect ... heck, Red Faction Guerrilla is a console game ported to PC and was a blast, as was Borderlands.

As you say, more expensive, and stripping many key PC functionalities and removing all of the core PC multiplayer functionality. When it hits <$20m then I'll grab it.

It's not just a PC port, it's a bad PC port. They weren't even trying.

They made the console version, and a couple months ago decided they could get some extra cash by putting it on DVDs and selling it to PC owners. Toss in some mouse+keyboard support, a couple of "graphics options" and call it a day.

That's literally what they said when asked what was different between the PC and console version. "Keyboard and mouse support and graphics options."

lol, you read that Q&A too eh? Yea, I saw that. We really worked hard on the PC version...adding keyboard and mouse support, and graphics options.

L....O....L.

I'm sure I'll nab it once it gets to bargain bin levels, if only for the single player, as I'll want to continue from the original...but I may consider waiting to get it on PS3 just so I don't have to throw them ANY amount of money.
