I don't game on PC much (well at all until I get a new computer), BUT, if I was to request Full Package, then there is no reason to suspect that I would be happy with just a jewel case. If I wanted a jewel case and no manual, I would request Disc Only. Period.

I don't understand why people are trying to get a leg up on something that has no legs to stand on. It's almost as if you are trying to cheat the buyer by claiming that you have a FP when you really don't simply to be able to move the game. Think about it, that is your only motive; to get the game out faster to the buyers that request FP instead of DO.

Why would anyone insist that FP is anything but Game + Manual + RETAIL BOX (box being dis-ambiguous for cardboard or plastic) , assuming that a retail box was released and the SKU is the same. If in the case that the aforementioned game never came with a retail box, then it still should be listed as disc only, since that is what it is. It is up to Goozex to mark the items as D+M and/or FP as untradable should the only release be a disc in a jewel case.

I have this still new shrinkwraped and bought it this way: AS A JEWEL CASE! Even the image on the product description sugests this. It's obvious that you buy very little pc stuff at a B&M store as its full of these.Newer releases I can understand as they all come pretty much in either the small cardboard box or a keepcase.

BUT for classics and this case, I'm sorry but your "box" is the jewel case, period! I'm not "cheating" anyone as you would suggest. What's my advantage of screwing someone if it's going to affect my feedback. PC packaging is a lot different than console packaging....it always has been. From the giant cereal box size boxes, to the smaller size ones, to the keepcase, to the jewel case, to the digital download.

So, I don't care what anyone says, this particular item goes under FP. Communication is key and although technically I wouldn't have to, I would still advise the buyer.

You are entitled to your opinion, but you are wrong. Go ahead and try to pass that off as FP. One day someone will call you out on it and you WILL lose.

Here an ebay listing with the boxed edition of this game which means your jewel cased version is not FP.  http://cgi.ebay.ca/JEU-CD-PC-VIETNAM-SPECIAL-ASSIGNMENT-2-LIVRET_W0QQitemZ360182881587QQcmdZViewItemQQptZFR_SK_Jeuxvideo_Games_VideoGames?hash=item53dc929d33

If you have a game that comes in a jewel case dont list it as full package its as simple as that.

Nice...pointing to a European release....that works. Hmm

Anyways, it's obvious this isn't going anywhere and that the problem remains..........next!

Well, I've done requested that a new official decision be made on the matter.  Assuming that happens, it should put this matter to rest, one way or the other.

Excellent!

I'm being a pain on this as we all know that what I'm pointing out will be argued by many...let it be the manual or the jewel case. Taking that gray area out will make things clear for everyone.

Now let's be clear about this,  PC gaming vs Console gaming cases/manuals/inserts are completely different. NEW (not budget) PC games do NOT always come with Manuals (I've listed two games myself, many a time in this thread, that didn't have a printed manual), while just about EVERY Console game does. You can not compare PC vs Console in this instance.

So, my idea is to change the definition of what  Full Package means;

Full Package: Everything (case/box,  manual*s/insert*s, bonus item*s, & disc*s) that came with the game AS it retailed new. This does NOT include budget PC games.

That pretty much mirrors my thoughts, Elkazar.  If it was originally released with something, it needs to have that to be full package.  If it later is rereleased without those items, then the rerelease does not qualify for full package.

If it never had a printed manual, you can't demand one for it to be full package.  If it never came in a box, you can't demand one.  If it did, in one of its releases though, the buyer is perfectly within their rights to expect those things with a full package.

Not sure why you are calling a north american release european?  The listing is in French, the only difference between this game and the American version of this game is the manual is in french instead of english since well Canada is Billingual so sometimes we have manuals in french.

Huh no, look at the whole posting. This guy is from Belgium or France. It's even listed in Euros.

Anyways, no worries, hopefully Maskim's request will shed light on the whole issue.

Your right, it is france.  I used ebay.ca so I am used to the damn french canadian listings so I didnt look close enough.  The point still stands just because you got the jewel case version of the game new doesnt mean it is full package.  If it was only ever released as a jewel case version then yes it would be full package but if it was ever released as a boxed version then you need that version to list it as full package.  Yes it will be nice when they clarify it but I will guess it will be just like it was before they updated the faq.

Don't forget that the voice overs will also be in French.
