I was warned today by someone who received a trade from me that I should warn people if I am sending them a game that has a Gamestop price tag on it. He said that he has received negative feedback because of it. Is this for real? Is it possible that anyone would do such a mean, unthoughtful thing? I buy many of my games from GS because I can get a discount on them after only a few days of release and I think it's a good thing. If you know you are getting a used game in trade from Goozex why would you care at all from where it was originally bought as long as it is received in working condition and with all of the items requested? Goozex should have rules against leaving anything less than positive feedback for such a reason.

if the game works he can not leave anything but positive.  the most he can leave is a +5 for not completely being what he expected.  I would challenge any other feedback he gives you.

Some people will complain about this and leave you lowered feedback, (maybe a +5) but they can't leave a negative. If they do just dispute it w/ goozex and they should resolve the matter and give you a positive. This isn't a website for collectors so as long as the item you sent meets the standards required by goozex you should be all good.

Yeah, I think that's just a case of someone being picky about the quality the case comes in. Some people really REALLY hate stickers -- it's not about where the game came from, it's about the stickers on their case. I don't think this user is saying he is leaving a negative or anything, just warning that people have been known to do that in the past over something like this.

Giving a negative feedback for a sticker on the case of a game is feeback abuse. At worse the buyer could leave +5 and state their disguist in the comments section.

It's good that Goozex would favor the one sending rather than the one who left less than positive feedback in a dispute. However, it is still a waste of time to have to dispute in the first place. I just hope I never have to deal with it. I just recently discovered this site and think it's great. I can't begin to count all of the money I had lost before by trading in games to pawn shops or 2nd time stores. I just couldn't believe that someone would leave less than positive feedback for such reasons. As you said, this isn't a site for collectors it is a site for players and therefore people should be satisfied if the game is in working condition ands has all of the items requested included with it. Thanks for the feedback, It really is nice to know that Goozex would be on my side should such a situation arise.

If you have a game with a gamestop sticker on it just do the polite thing and take it off before sending it.  Sure it may be a little bit of extra work but it will save you hassle in the end.  There are many people on here that will leave a +5 for getting a game with a gamestop sticker on it.  If I were you I would refer the person that told you that they got a negative for a sticker to look at this thread and to file a complaint with Goozex about the feedback.

No, the one who warned me was very nd happy with his game. He saw that it had a GS sticker on it and was only letting me know that it has happened that people have received less than positive feedback in the past for GS stickers on the box. To the person who says that negative shouldn't be left but feedback of +5 would be acceptable...anything less than positive is unacceptable if the sticker on the box is the only thing causing dissatisfaction. If I have promised to send a game with the full package and it is missing the manual or something then I can see someone being upset as the game wasn't received as promised. But If the manual, box, disc and any other inserts like maps or whatever are included then nothing less than positive feedback should be left. If it really bothers someone that much to have a sticker on the box they should not be getting there games from this site at all. If I were that particular I would make sure I bought new or was able to physically inspect my games before purchasing and so should anyone else who has a hang up with such small things as stickers on the packaging.

For your information, +5 is a positive. It just states that the condition of the game is not what they were hoping for. But I agree, this is a used game trading site and if you complain about a lousy sticker, well there are other things to worry about in life than a sticker.

I looked through all the feedback from people that you've completed trades with and only found negatives for people not receiving games.  You sure he just wasn't being passive aggressive?

I hate the way Gamestop marks up their used games. But I would not give negative feedback.

There is a trader on the site (who claims he quit videogames, but has not) who will only give +5 for anything with a sticker on the package. Some people are anal like that.

Is this user also closely related to many video game soundtrack remixes around the internets?? I've got a sneaking suspicion i know who it is

My advise to the OP is to PM prospective buyers that your game has stickers on it. If they are anal, then leave it up to them to cancel...otherwise send the game out and dispute anything less than +5. While I don't like stickers, it's more to do with the fact that it can make trading or selling it harder since there are some people that won't take it at all. Thus limiting the market.

That's pretty much my thoughts on this as well.
