anyone know if it's different substantially from the DS version?  That was awesome, but a little easy to beat, like most DS games.  hopefully it will be like Mario Kart, 16 tracks on DS, 32 on Wii, twice the pice, twice the content. This is one I would pay full MSRP for, regardless it will be worth 1000 pts + on Goozex for a LONG time.  Definitely not a wait to play item IMO.

It's a completely different game, the only thing it has in common is the art style (which I always thought looked kind of boring and generic for a Mario game). It's specifically designed for cooperative play between the four major characters in the Mario bros series: Mario, Luigi, and two generic toads.

I've got this pre-ordered, and this will be the first time I turn my Wii on to actually play a game, other than use Fit to help with my Physical Therapy!

It is definitely different than the DS version and it does I think fall in line with the other Mario games. I love it. I'm not that far yet but I just got my copy a week or so ago.

It's fun to yell at your "teammates" when you pick them up and throw them in a hole... and then run away from their bubble when they pop back into the picture. :P

I love that part of the game. Half the fun is trying to avoid working as a team

But I did enjoy everything else about the game. I think they did an awesome job in keeping with the original Mario Brothers games from the past. I'm starting to really like how Nintendo has been rather consistent with Mario and Luigi, considering it's 25 years later since Mario has been introduced to the gaming community (should I even include the original character from Donkey Kong? lol).

You're right, maybe is a BIT hard, but once my friend pushed me in a hole and i was thinking I HATE YOU GOD!!!!
