Hey guys. I just found out about PSN's policy to allow PSN games and DLC being allowed on 5 consoles from one purchase. There is a forum for this on GameTZ and CAG where you and 4 other people split the cost 5 ways, I was just wondering if it is allowed to be discussed or organized on the Goozex forums? I have one in particular I would like to do but I won't list any specifics until I find out if its cool. Thanks either way :-)
Just to clarify, the PSN policy is that the game can be downloaded onto 5 different consoles, as long as it is the property of the original purchaser on each one. For example, you have Final Fantasy 7 on your two ps3s, on your psp, and then you have it at your brother's house, just for when you happen to be over there.
Do people use it to gameshare? Of course they do. It doesn't make it the proper or intended use, however. The TOS when you purchase a game on PSN says you won't do it.
Basing upon the fact that if you request a psn game, and the seller tries to game share a game with you will net them a -250 negative feedback for illegal/pirated game, I'm going to say that gamesharing is not a viable topic here.
I appreciate it. Just to clarify I was referring to the practice of making a dummy account and 5 people just pitching in and buying the content not actually putting a gameshare up for trade. I get your point however and I'll drop the subject. Off to gameTZ ;-)
No problem. Just because I have no issue with the practice, as long as it isn't used to try to trade them, doesn't mean it wouldn't be frowned upon as a topic of conversation I suppose is the point I was trying to make.
