I just completed the first playthrough of Borderlands last night, and as the completely awesome ending sequence (read: sarcasm) was taking place, I had a thought that I may have already experienced all the game has to offer.

Has anyone else completed the first playthrough and thought the same thing?

It's almost at the point where I may just move on to a different game and send Borderlands out to some lucky individual via goozex for 1000 points...

Speaking of which - how long does it usually take for a new release to start going down in point value?

Trade it out. You can always get it back later.

GTA IV came out 29Apr08. I bought it for 1000 on 05Jun08, sold it for 1000 when I finished it 11Sep08, then bought it back to keep for 350 on 28May09. I think it started dropping points at the end of Sep08.

This may be the best course of action.

Has anyone else run into the same thing regarding the replayability of Borderlands?

It's a fantastic game, but I'm surprised at how quickly I feel like I'm losing interest now that I finished the first playthrough.

I havent finished my first playthrough yet but I imagine that when I am done the game I will probably be done for good.  I dont usually replay games and if I do I leave at least 6 months between replays.

Just for your information, you can replay through the quests/games again but all the beginning quests/enemies are harder.  I think those scags right outside of Fyrestone start at level 32-34.

The vendors and such also provide higher level items right in Fyrestone.

For comparision purposes, think Hell and Nightmare modes in Diablo 2.
