I like to consider myself hardcore enough to know of all the big ones, but DS surely was under my radar....way under.

Okay, but by that measure I still think Demon's Souls was too popular. It's an RPG on a mostly RPG starved console, alot of people in that mid-range between hardcore and casual were attracted to it. They might not have expected it to be good, but they still wanted it.

I used to get GameInformer (before I had a PS3, just a Wii), but now the only PS3 updates I get are in the form of Qore, which is generally limited. I need to be in the know more for this system now!

I agree. Battlefield: Bad Company 2. Just from the preview of multiplayer alone I thing it will do well. It already look much better than the first game. Not that the first one wasn't fun but, it didn't have the enduring pull that CoD4 had in my opinion.

that seems like the only way to get rid of this garbage song. I only know the part of the song thats in the commercial because any time it comes on the radio i switch it. The one line is just repeating over and over.
BTW, how do you only quote part of what i'm saying. When ever i try and pick and choose what to quote it gives me an error
To me Demon's Souls wasn't a sleeper at all. I very nearly imported it, but Atlus announced an american release literally about 5 minutes before I was ready to pull the trigger on a purchase.
I can totally see how it went under people's radar though. When I was waiting to pick up my Deluxe edition on day 1 (it hadn't arrived yet) I was talking to the gamestop manager. He was in shock that I had not only preordered it, but went deluxe. He was saying he'd been hyping the game to everyone that showed even a remote interest in rpgs for over 3 months, and in all that time, other than mine, the only preorder his store ever saw was his.
It's a hard sell, without the actual game in hand to see how awesome it is.
