Crystal Defenders R1/R2

I'm interested in Crystal Defenders. There's two versions on the website, with "R1" and "R2"...unsure of the difference. Is it a straight sequel? They seem to have come out right next to each other chronologically. Or are they more like the Pokemon games, with a little bit different in each one, but virtually the same game?

R1 and R2 are just stages from what I'm playing. They are virtually the same game in the same digital download that I grabbed for free because my friend shared it with me on the PSN.. so It shouldn't be separated from what I have.

Edit: Sorry I went to check and the stages were W1 and W2 so I don't know what I'm talking about here. HAHA... *is with stupid*

The more I research, the more it seems like "R2" is a sequel, but it's odd that it came out so close to the other. Ah well, my points can fester for the rest of the day in the hopes that someone has a bright light to shine on the subject. :)

Also...are they fun?

They split the original Crystal Defenders game into three parts, named them W1, W2, and W3, and released them a few weeks apart for $8.

The price alone makes the Wii version the worst of all the platforms to which it was ported, but the conversion wasn't that great either.  There's no pointer controls, the music has been butchered, and the leaderboard functionality has been gimped.

It's a fun game, but only invest in the Wii version if you don't have a 360, PS3, PSP, or iPod.

This will probably be my first purchase, once my money gets back from my fake drive and I can go buy a new one.

Now I just need to think of what to spend 1100 Wii points on.
