How do these goldbox deals work? Do they usually have enough? I didn't bother going at midnight because I figured I'd get shutdown and am trying to figure out if I should go to Walmart now or try the goldbox.
Personally I'd rather have an Amazon giftcard than a Walmart online one.

you have to be on at the time it goes active and be quick on the draw for the good deals, they tend to go fast

Well, I always get a good spot in the Goozex queues so I'm pretty sure I'm quick on the draw. I'll be stareing at my screen as it hits too. I'm going to give this route a shot, I personally hate Walmart.

One downside to this whole thing - this is going to be my Xmas present if I get it. Wife just came down and started talking about wanting treadmills for Xmas and crap. That costs way more than $100 though.

What does "checked out via Lightning deal" mean? It went to my cart via the lightning deal thing. There was a little thing showing a .01 discount applied to it, but nothing showing lightning deal. I was of course in a big hurry so I just slammed through as quick as I could without reading much of anything.
Alright, this blows. I just talked to Amazon via phone and they said all the lightning deal people had a checkout price of 199.98 while mine was 199.99. Mine said $199.98 when I first went to my checkout, I think it got screwed up because I checked Super Saver Shipping and didn't read everything in my haste.
I cancelled that order and checked out at Walmart, which has a completed order clearly stating it is the 360 Arcade w/ $100 gift deal.
I may try Amazon again this afternoon. Either way, I now have a cheap 360. And despite not liking Walmart, I'm sure I'll find a use for the card. Also on the plus side, it doesn't seem like their card expires whereas the Amazon one expires 12/31.
