shadelon: Apparently I don't get it, cause I confirmed shipment and I didn't get the points. What's going on? My feedback score is 25. Last I checked that is greater than 20.

It's possible that you got matched with the item while you had 20 or lower feedback. This would also happen when it was instapoints upon agreeing to send it out.
I believe you have to be at a feedback score of 30 now.
i believe there is a bug in the system right now as far as receiving points goes. I have well over 1000 feedback and all of my outgoing trades over the past week or so say "will receive points on positive feedback".

Once you confirm shipment, you will have your points. If you don't confirm shipment, then you have to wait. for positive feedback.
This whole confirmed shipped thing to get points is getting a little annoying, as a buyer.
Unless the seller provides a shipping confirmation number of some sort what is the point? I just had a guy request a cancel of a game that was confirmed shipped on Dec 4. What the heck is up with that?
Really seems like a useless feature that serves no purpose at all.

Sadly, it is not working as intended.

This is not really related to the new policy change, but recently I've had a number of "confirmed ships" without tracking numbers given. Which is fine, but then when the package arrives, there's clearly a DC Number on it. Now I guess the seller doesn't HAVE to give me that #, since the number is for their own protection and not mine, but it still would have been courteous.

I used to be this way. :P But I add it now because it's easier for me to see if it arrives by clicking on it from my offers.
+1 to this. Generally since the update though, I've been getting more people that have used DC than not, but now I'm currently dealing with my first fellow that just slapped the button and likely never shipped.
Granted we can't mandate DC due to Canadian users, but the measure seemed flaky to begin with, and it seems others with similar concerns verify that.
Still, a failed step in the right direction is better than none I suppose.

If it is a Canadian trader, be on notice that their mail slowdown has been more noticeable than the US' this year. I sent a disc only movie to Canada and it took 17 days.
I do like the confirm ship button better than nothing though. Nothing sucks more than guessing if the seller has even attempted anything when it auto shows it was shipped without confirmation. At least if I get a confirm ship button that didn't happen 10 seconds after the trade was accepted, I can at least have a little more hope that the item was shipped.
Yeah, I've actually done this a few times myself. The amount of time that it takes to actually type in the number is minuscule, but sometimes I'm just that lazy. If it was mandatory that I enter in the code, I would do it every time but as it is I only use delivery confirmation as personal protection.
