dang... wish I thought of that when xbox live screwed up and said Derekjr was already taken.  I used Derekjr1.  i then tried 5 minutes later and it said Derekjr was avaialble.....  I am to cheap to spend the Miscrosoft points to change it to Derekjr.

Anyways, there goes my theory that it was a secret code...  Here I was thinking it signified something cool like they served in the army... or they were free masons or something.

Don't all the Knights Templar secret papers have weird X's on them?

Well... If you move the upside down "V" thingy  down a bit on the other "V" thingy (I appologize to anyone good at math here) you can kind of get an "X"... it would make more sense to go with "G" though I suppose...

I like how in Samoa they skip the "derekjr" part and just straight up name their kids "Junior".  Kind of like Philippines and naming their kids "Boy" or "Baby"

Actually I had not thought of him when I first asked, but that would make about 7 names so far that I have seen just in the course of 2 days.  I was actually quite serious when  I asked as I found it interesting that so many used the "x" infront and behind thier name.  Never a different letter.  I had a lot of time to ponder the subject during the many respawn screens.

I have accepted that it is what others had posted and that it is in order to use thier names.  So I hope he was not offended by my joking.

I seem to see a lot of players with a name like x-insertnamehere-x online.  By this I mean an x infront and behind their handle.  I noticed it during UC2 multiplayer.  I have seen about 6 so far, all diffrent names. 

Is there any reason for this? Clan maybe?

Easy way to get a name already taken. Some morons even use i-(name)-x
