You know when u buy a used game at game stop they say there supposed to be guaranteed to work but i had to go back there 3 times cause the games i got wouldnt work i mean do they check and play them to see if they work? and anyone on this site that buys used games from gamestop do u have any problems with used games from there?
their "guarantee" is a set period of time where you can bring the game back and exchange it if the game doesnt work
well when people sell games there do they check them and test them i mean when i buy a used game there again im gonna ask if they could test it an d i just dont mean turn it on and see it i mean play it for like 5 mins or at least let me see the disc and judge myself that it will work
I got a crack disc, Can't get to the last level. When I order online they sent me a disc with a deep-ass scrtach on it, the voice-acting doesn't work.
To answer your question: Yes, every game works but not completely.
yeah they work but freeze and dont load if they just check and test it then there be no probs i trust pawn shops more then gamestop
o.O
But gamestop you can walk back into the store and say.... hey. I bought this game. It doesn't work. Here's the receipt. Gimme another copy. Don't have another used copy? Gimme store credit. Thanks. Bye.
and they will. I don't understand this thread.
yeah but pawn shops test it for ya well the one i go to and i mean whats th e point of going to game stop and going back when u can jsut go to a place that test the game for ya
.......
game stop lets you test games for 2 weeks?
Gamestop has tested newer games I brought in, obviously cause they are a higher dollar sell. Older games they just do a visual inspection on. But they do have the buyers remorse time period for used games that you can bring them back to the store and get your money back, or defects they take back too. I don't really get what is going on though here.
all im saying is gamestop soemtimes rip you off i had to go there 3 times jsut for one game not workig they replaced it with another used game and that didnt work so the 3rd time i went back i got another game and to my surprise it worked if im going to game stop again its jsut going to be to buy new items
Dude, periods. Use them. Your sentence structure is horrible. I can't tell where something starts and ends. And its unfortunate you had to go back 3 times, but they can't check every single game by installing them on 360 hard drives or running them on a computer. It's just not logical for a company to pay someone to check out 4.99 to 19.99 games that are a dime a dozen, especially when they are making a killing buying said games for 1 dollar. It's easier for them to sell them, and if they come back as unplayable, put another in your hands and go along. If you have a problem with that, don't use the store, use goozex or another outlet.
Also, there is the resurfacing idea at your local radioshack or whatever, i know many people, including myself who took an old game there, they resurfaced it, and good as new. I also know people who use the toothpaste and or lighter trick, and they work like new to. Just some ideas to put in the back of your mind.
Punctuation is your friend, believe it or not.

The fact that you don't have to pay for each copy you are getting is the extent of Gamestop's guarantee. In my experience from Gamestop, the only time they have tested anything is when I brought in a console. No game I've brought in, no matter how new was ever tested.
My last trip there I brought in about 10-12 games and all they did was open each case to make sure there was a disc inside, they didn't even bother to look at the bottom of the discs.
Thats why I don't buy used from Gamestop, or in this case I don't buy from them at ALL anymore
