one of my hinges in the umd door is broken,and i need to get it fixed.Do you guys know of a cheap repair site i could send it to?

If your psp is out of warranty i'd reccomend fixing it yourself. Its cheap and very very easy. I broke my joystick and ordered a replacement and fixed my own for less tan 8 dollars. Heres a website w/ how to fix it.

I replaced the screen on mine, and it was fairly easy.  It was a bit more expensive than a $10 analog stick, but still MUCH cheaper than sending it to Sony.  It would be MUCH cheaper for you to fix it yourself.

agreed. The only danger i would warn against is to be very careful with the screws. They strip very easily and will be the most difficult part about disassembling your psp. That being said its totally worth it. As long as you are taking your psp apart i recommend you add one of these to your psp:

This d-pad mod made playing street fighter on my psp not only bearable but also enjoyable.

My visual chip is all screwy on me. I take the PSP apart every once and awhile to tape the chip and the screen together so that there is pressure.... it runs smoothly for about a month then I must repeat...
