Is it Tuesday yet? I really want to get my hands on this game.

I got this on PS3 simply because I don't have a 360 or a PC that could run it. That said, I'm looking forward to it...

Is there a single player campaign at all, or is it only online co-op?

I can't believe you are even asking this. It's a western RPG, touted as a successor to Baldur's Gate. Why would you preorder a game you knew nothing about?

Thanks for your help. Really. I know what the game is about, but I haven't read anywhere that definitively says that there is a single player campaign. I know that Bioware makes it and is a spiritual successor to Baldur's Gate. That's why I preordered it.

Okay. You are reading it right here. There is a single player and its the main attraction, as it usually is in RPGs.

Thanks. So what is the multiplayer aspect of it? Is it like Demon's Souls where you can recruit people to help you complete a mission/objective? I'm so confused.

I think I added to the confusion with my initial post. Apparently, Dragon Age has no multiplayer. At least, that's my current understanding.

OK, that makes sense now. I was going to be upset if it was more MMO than traditional Bioware RPG. Can't wait!

I heard the multiplayer component will be minimal, like some sort of in-game twitter for your quest status. I wasn't too concerned with it and I'll be firewall blocking it most likely, so I didn't read up to much. But they did say they wanted to have some degree of online functionality.

I will wait and see what spot I can scrounge on release night to see if I must buy it new or take my time and try waiting. This is the only game that I have been wanting to get my hands on for months now.

That's pretty much what it is. Although the PC version has a little bit more to it. Such as being able to post screenshots and what not.

As for the topic I cannot wait for Tuesday to come as this will be consuming a whole lot of my time. The only real problem I will have with it will be choosing between this and Assassin's Creed II.

One more day.. to say I'm looking forward to this would be an understatement. The only other games that come close to this level of interest for me are Diablo III and BioShock 2.

G-Nitro:

I pre-ordered the CE on 360. I would do PC, BUT I want the Mass Effect 2 bonus for when I get that for 360

According to Amazon (.ca) the pre-order bonus only comes with the 360 and PC versions.  It doesn't seem possible to get the code with the PS3 version and sell it like some were hoping.

IGN-Aussie has posted their review.

Basically - graphics engine looks dated, gameplay is deep, but it's too LOTR-lite looking and the 2D BG games were much better.

Kinda obvious, of course PC 2D RPGs will be better, 95% of the best RPGs are 2D

Well ... Steam has pre-loaded, can't wait to try.

As for reviews at major sites ... pfft ... they are largely bought, and seldom reflect reality outside of a very small set of games.
