I'd say for sending out a game, but then everyone would list all their crappy games that never go anywhere.

So for a game you want!

Phantom Brave for Wii

Product traded: 1 times since September 10, 2009

I've been 2nd in line for that long.

Yeah, I am getting disillusioned about this site.  I've been here for about two weeks now, I've been matched with trading partner several times, and only one of them has approved a trade, only to cancel it shortly afterwards.

What is the purpose of having an item in your active offerings if  you are not going to trade it?  All you do there is waste other people's time.

The name of the game here is patience. Your failed matches are unfortunate but, as you can see by my signature, many of us have completed hundreds of successful trades.

Hang in there. I even got matched (twice!) for and received the original PS1 X-COM. I never thought that would happen.

Sadly some folks are reluctant to trade with new people due to issues in the past.

But look at the other folks - you *will* find someone to trade with and things will go great.  I have hundreds of trades, and there are folks in the *thousands*!

Since I prefer PC games, there are many where I am 1st in line that have *never* been traded ... I think I've had Day Watch in my request queue for ~2.5 years ...

September is nothing, I've been "First in Line" for A Vampyre Story since MAY.  In the meantime however I've gotten at least a couple dozen other titles so it's not like I don't have anything to do until someone finally decides to trade that one.

Some of the lesser known ones are harder to get but it'll get traded eventually.

Solatso - Speaking of games you've received, have you had a chance to try out Way of the Samurai 3? If so, what did  you think?

It doesn't matter what their reasoning is for not trading.  And, if that is the case, this site is going to have a hard time attracting and keeping anyone new.

Maybe Goozex should come up with something to fix the issue, like a toggle on whether or not you want to trade with new people.  Games may be harder to come by for newbies, but at least they won't be given false hope, and have had their time wasted.  And a lot of newbies have to spend money on points to get a game, so for them it is not only a waste of time, but of money.

I will trade with anyone and think those that won't trade with new users are being ridiculous. There is no reason to not trade with any user unless it is someone who is obviously scamming the system.  New users are needed to help the site grow and provide more items into the database.

I agree with those saying that patience is a virtue.  You will get matched eventually, but it can take a while.  There were several older games that I had queued up that I never expected to see traded because I had never even seen them in real life... but a couple of months later they were mine at an absolute bargain price.  Sweet deal!

Goozex is an awesome way to stretch your gaming budget if you aren't in a rush to get that one particular game *right now*.  That said, if you want something right away (especially with newer or less common games) then it might still be worth buying directly instead of waiting for someone to offer it here.

On a related note, does anyone else find that they always trade in bursts?  I always seem to have either 0 games on the way, or 3+ all at one time.  Not sure why that happens, but it's always the way for me... feast or famine I guess.

I always have items coming in, so this isn't a problem. Stick out tongue

I predict I'll never get matched on DJ Hero. I'm #16 I think.

Bladestorm for 360, Been in line since I've joined. Had some real massive wank, who kept submitting it for trade but never accepting. Locking me up about 10 times for the item in three weeks. And guess what, another trade occurs during that time >_>

I certainly hope that not everyone buys points to get into the system.  The more people trade games to earn points, the more games move through the system, and the faster I end up getting matches.  (Also, it usually much cheaper to look for deals on games, and then trade those games to earn points anyway...  although not necessarily faster.)

Why would you have to pay for points?  That's what the trading is for.  If you put your titles up and get matched with someone to SEND a game then all you have to do is ship it with a tracking number and you'll get points that can then be used to receive titles.

As for people not trading with new users, I'll personally never understand why.  It's not like sending a game to a new user will hurt the sender in some way, so long as they use delivery confimation it doesn't make a difference if the user is new or has 1000 trades.

Unfortunately patience is the name of the game here at Goozex so if you're not a patient person then perhaps just buying the game would be the way to go.  You can always trade titles in at stores for credit then use the credit to get the game you want.

That DOES sound awfully familiar though.....like maybe I've seen that someplace before......can't quite put my finger on it......Pizza

I haven't had much of a chance to play it yet, been playing alot of R&C and Batman, but the hour I've put in makes me want to play more.  Graphics are what you would expect, combat is a little wonky but once you get used to it it's just fine.  Some of the dialogue is a bit ...... overly dramatic?  The story hasn't presented itself too much beyond the opening intro BUT the intro was really good.

I kinda like the idea behind when you first meet certain people you can decide to either 1) Draw your sword either making them get ready to fight or run away screaming; 2)Kneel before them, like if their someone important.  I didn't realize what I was doing at first and drew my sword on some unsuspecting farmers who found me early on and they were like "holy crap, RUN!"  I laughed pretty hard.
