I had a game listed in my offers and was matched up with a buyer. Not even a day after I was matched up, the buyer left me positive feedback. At that point I hadn't even shipped the game out yet.
Well yesterday I shipped the game out and went to send a PM to the buyer with the tracking number and got this message when I went to their profile:
" The user information you requested is not available because the user does not exist or was disabled."
Should I be worried about this? I hope this isn't some kind of scam attempt and that I'd be losing out on my game. I have the points in my account right now, but I'm thinking the user could have been trying to scam people and got banned from the site. I'm mainly worried that Goozex is going to deduct the points from my account even though the user is going to have my game.
Should I contact the post office and try to get them to return the game to me or what?
Here's what I'm guessing happened:
The seller traded honestly on the site for a while to get his feedback up, and to have the maximum number of trading slots available. Then, he listed a bunch of games he didn't have to get as many points as possible. That way, he would be able to get a crap load of game fo essentially free. The reason he gave you positive feedback instantly was so that you send him the game, you get your points, and he opens up another trade slot to get yet another free game..
Of course, Goozex caught and banned him
Your fine, that means he deleted his account or was banned, those points are yours to keep.
Ok good. Thanks for your help.
I was thinking the same thing was going on. I was going to have the post office reverse the shipment on the package but if I'm not going to lose my points I just won't worry about it. I wish this site would start requiring credit cards or something like that before you can register on here. That would probably get rid of some of the scammers.
