Funny little world we live in, isn't it? You know what actually deserves GOTY right now? Demon's Souls. I'm not saying that you should change your opinions, but I don't understand why people are so snarky towards those that suggest it's the best game they've every played. Or say that people that consider it's the perfect video game aren't grounded in reality. I haven't finished yet, but I've played some and I have to say the production values are off the charts. Like never before seen in a video game production values - better than MGS4 IMO. Especially considering that MGS4's cutscenes weren't really a stand alone product. You had no clue what was going on in the "movie" unless you had played the others or spent hours on Wiki studying the previous plotlines. UC2 is as close to a blend of movie and video game as anything I've ever seen. My wife hates watching me play video games, but I actually talked her into watching me play because of the commercial with the geeky guy and his girlfriend. She was actually entertained, watched for several hours, and was quoting a couple one liners from the game later that night. For some people, this is their idea of entertainment and this is as close to a perfect video game as they've ever played. They're able to overlook a couple flaws in mechanics in some places, and a few other minor complaints and just enjoy it for what it is. I don't know why some people seem to find it so offensive, but whatever. I understand that. But I was never saying anyone was wrong for liking or even loving UC2. I was saying I didn't think it was perfect. I said I noticed a ton of obvious flaws that most of the people who loved the game seemed to be ignoring while telling everyone they need to abandon whatever turd they're playing now and start playing "The Best Game Ever." I also said I had a blast with it, but it just wasn't enough to make it into my personal Top 5. I don't know why some people seem to find that offensive, but whatever. Because you aren't allowed to talk bad about it even if it is your opinion. What they say is "fact", which makes your opinion wrong. Fanboys are funny like that. Jeez why do you have to hurt everyone's feelings, don't you know there sensitive. Cuz I don't care about the feelings of fanboys, since they don't mind attacking others because of differing opinions.

I made a one line comment that it was amusing how people were nitpicking the game because IMO a lot of your points and many in the posts before it were nitpicking and everyone was praising the lord and high fiving over them. My first post wasn't specifically directed at you, just as your comment on nitpicking wasn't directed specifically at me. There were more people in the thread than just yourself taking my comments on my personal perception as personal attacks against the Holy Grail of Gaming. Besides, I wasn't nitpicking. I was pointing out glaringly obvious glitches and bugs that every single person in this thread knows full well would be used as fodder against any game that didn't have a AAA pedigree.
Every game I love has its fair share of glitches and bugs. A lot of my favorite games are insulted all the time, especially on Goozex for some reason. It doesn't make me like these games any less. I still fail to see what the big issue is here.

OK, so as part of the Best Buy B2G1 deal I got Forza 3, Uncharted 2, and Demon's Souls. I played a couple hours of Forza 3 first, because, well, I'm a sucker for a Forza series. Then I popped in Uncharted 2 and played for about 20 minutes before my power went out...
Yesterday when I got home from work I decided to check out Demon's Souls.. and then it was midnight. No joke. I missed the sunset, dinner, and South Park. It's way too early to vote for this as my PS3 exclusive GOTY, but damn it's good.
