360 was also hit by their exclusives being delayed - something that happened to PS3 last year.
PS3 actually had some exclusive delay as well though. God Of War III would have been a candidate for game of the year if it didn't get pushed back. MAG was supposed to be slated for 2009 as well. Gran Turismo 5 has been delayed seemingly forever. Heavy Rain was also supposed to hit in 2009 I believe. White Knight Chronicles has been rumored for a long time and should finally hit in 2010 I think.

Heavy Rain is the only of those that interest me and it does greatly. I fear that game will be like Alan Wake (another game I desire greatly) and have a seemingly endless development cycle.

I'll vouch that this is entirely wrong. I got through about chapter 7 in VC and quit because it's not all that fun, especially without a strategy guide. It seems like a big waste to play a game like this with a strategy guide to me, and I didn't feel like replaying 40 minutes of a level because it throws some goofy wrinkle at you. It's like Demon's Souls in that regard, only not as fun. At least in Demon's Souls you've probably actually gotten some items in that time and the whole 40 minutes wasn't a waste. :)

I highly disagree with you completely, since this IS by far the best game I played this year and I'm no fanboy, and ur podcast complaining about how it isn't perfect, ur right it isn't, but again, no game will be perfect and those minimal bugs can be forgiven, and the multiplayer is the best thing that I've played that seems to work more properly than gears 1 or 2 would ever work, and ur rage quitting on the game nights to me tell me so, and I don't make fun of u since ur right their is more BS that happens in Gears than their should be. I compare it to that since it is a TPS , play UC2, u won't find urself BS'ed by a stupid chainsaw or a grenade that was on the other side of the wall, and the big part that gives UC2 longevity is the MP which is why I strongly judge the game by that addition.

Oh dont get me wrong, there's a ton of awesome on PC...just nothing really jumping at me for this upcoming holiday season. Just purchased Killing Floor this past weekend which is pretty neat, and I still play a ton of SupCom and Company of Heroes, as well as dab in a little bit of W@W, but with the practices that L4D2 and MW2 are bringing to the table, I'm not terribly interested in throwing my dollar their way. I can't think of many other hit titles (exclusive or not to PC) that are coming to the platform before year's end.
I do have a lot of PS3 gaming to catch up on though (UC2, Eat Lead, and a few other plats I've been meaning to get, not to mention a ton of on hold items I need to get). Hell, I haven't even opened VC yet, short of taking off the shrink wrap...lol.

I think PC gamers have shot themselves in the foot somewhat with the rampant piracy though. If you like something, pay the man that made it for you. Wasn't infinity ward pretty PO'ed about the piracy that happened on COD4?

I'm sure piracy has taken its toll....something I'm surely not a fan of, but something as simple as the STEAM setup could remedy that. Granted, I personally enjoy having the ability to trade a title when done, but I'd rather PC gaming overall continue to flourish over tradability.
I've read a few arguments that piracy, while rampant, isn't enough to blame for any decline in PC development, but rather the devs themselves. I'm willing to accept a 50/50 on that, but either way, hope it's something that turns around.

it's def no where near a gripe. u missed my point. Uncharted 2 is one of the best games i've ever played...period. the game reviews on other sites were so quick to dub UC2 the best ever on the console. The PS3 had some many other great games just this year, i wanted to see what other goozex members thought was their favorite.
